BAND SAURUS" is a mysterious idol band that has been the talk of the industry since their live towel "Meat Activity Towel" (limited to 900), which cost 5,000 yen and was sold before their debut, was immediately sold out. We succeeded in interviewing the band again, this time with the cooperation of Mr. Midorifuji of Interpreter Saurus, the band's point of contact.

-- Please. First of all, and I think this is the part that fans are most concerned about, when in the world will BAND SAURUS' music be released?
ROCK SON: Yes. I thought I had to explain that one day to all the meat (*BAND SAURUS calls its fans "meat"). It may sound a bit like an excuse, but the basic premise of our band is that we have a lot of people...
-- How many members do you have now?
ROCK SON: Recently, the number has been increasing a little again, and now we have about 9,000 members. They are going extinct.
ROCK SON: With such a large number of people in the group, there are many differences of opinion and it is hard to move forward. Some members want to play rock, some want to play reggae, and some want to work solo.
-- In other words, "differences in musicality"?
ROCK SON: There are members who are not interested in music.
-- Why were you invited to become a member?
ROCK SON: I have been thinking about that for a while. I often hear from young people that they are not motivated, but I don't think that "getting motivated" and "taking action" are the order in which they should be motivated.
-- You mean that "motivation" does not precede "action"?
ROCK SON: Yes, that's right. First of all, try to take action, no matter what it is. It doesn't matter if it is not something you like. And then, you get a small result. You get a small result, such as "I was pleased" or "I got a smile"...so-called "rewards". Then you think, "I want to make them happy more next time," or "I want them to laugh more next time," don't you?
-- That is "motivation".
ROCK SON: That's right. Motivation" is like a side effect that occurs after "action"; it cannot be created without taking action and producing results. Therefore, we thought it would be a good idea to get people to start playing music first, and then, after that, to have them fall in love with music.
-- So it backfired.
ROCK SON: Yes, it did. I think it is better to gather members who are interested in music.
ROCK SON: I thought that the more members we had, the better, but when it came time to increase the number of members, there were many negative effects.
-- Are there any other negative effects besides "disagreement"?
ROCK SON: Yes. It is difficult to "keep the band" together. I think this is probably the core of today's interview... To maintain a band of 9,000 head, we need a lot of money.
-- Can you be more specific?
ROCK SON: The cost of meals is one thing, but the "lesson fee" is also not ridiculous. We are currently sending several thousand members to vocal lessons, but there is an insurmountable barrier that "dinosaurs" throats are not designed to sing in the first place.
-- You can't sing?
ROCK SON: Yes, we can. Perhaps you can imagine a crocodile. They can never sing, can they? We are almost like crocodiles, so we can't sing either. So our vocal lessons are not moving forward as if we were a crocodile, and the lesson fees are going out rapidly. It's a few thousand head of lessons, so it's not a ridiculous amount of money.
-- Today, vocalist Shittu (Go North When I Lose my Heart) is not here for the interview, but is he taking part in the lesson?
ROCK SON: No, Shittu is not taking lessons, but is working a day job to pay the lesson fee that he is being asked to pay.
-- You are in a very tight financial corner, aren't you?
ROCK SON: I am embarrassed to say this, but this is the current situation of BAND SAURUS. To summarize, there are two reasons for this: we added too many members, and we were creatures who could not sing.
The band's idea of support
-- I think this is a part of the band that they would like to keep hidden, but even so, they have asked us to talk about it this time. What is your aim?
ROCK SON: It's not so noble as to be called an "aim," but... we live with the "support" of the meat people. It was only because of the "support" that those rip-off towels sold out. Therefore, I think it is very important for a job like ours to create "room for support", and to do so, we need to clarify our "destination" and "current location ".
-- Revealing the destination and the current location?
ROCK SON: Yes. The formula for " room for support " is " room for support = destination - current location " and " support " is the thing that bridges this gap. So, "Where are we now, and where are we headed?" to the meat people , "support" will not be generated.

-- I see. So that's what you were thinking. Even so, the NFT project has started and is now a big topic of discussion. How do you perceive this?
ROCK SON: I am very happy because it is the band's key source of income now that we are unable to release music. Recently, all the band members are crazy about horse racing, so all the proceeds from the NFT will be used for that.
Tamori Akogare: So far, we have only watched the races on TV, but now we are finally going to bet money on them.
ROCK SON: There is something called a " MANBA-ticket " in horse racing, and if you bet on it, it's a dream come true system where the payout is amazing.
-- What do you do if you lose?
ROCK SON: It is always me who makes "losing" exist. Losing" exists because you quit when you lose, and you win if you keep improving each time you lose and keep going until you win.
