James Webb Space Telescope New Image!

こんにちは！！今日はとってもホットなニュースがあります！
宇宙が好き！って方はもう耳にしているかもしれません。そうです、あの金色のハチの巣みたいなジェイムズウェッブ宇宙望遠鏡(JWST)の初めての画像がNASAから世界へリリースされたんです！！！！
2021年のクリスマスに宇宙へ飛び出したJWSTは赤外線でありえないくらい遠くを細部まで映すことのできる望遠鏡です。ピッカピカな金でコーティングされている理由は、２つあります。一つ目)金は赤外線を反射するのにとても適しているから。二つ目)金は他の元素と全然反応しない元素だから。

何光年も離れている星雲や銀河がこんなに細部まで見えて、、美しさに魅了されて、ずーっと見つめていたら宇宙に飲み込まれる感覚がおこりました。。もちろん星雲や銀河などメインで映っているところはめまいがするほど綺麗ですが、私の心を奪ったのは背景に映っている銀河達です。ステファンの五つ子銀河(Stephan's Quintet)を見てみてください。この画像の背景に映っている小さな明るい点は全て銀河です。夜空のとても小さく限られた場所の写真でも、数えきれないほどの銀河があります。この画像を見つめながら、一つ一つの銀河にはどれだけの星があるんだろう、そしてこの光のどれかに、こっちを見ながら「宇宙人っているのかなぁ」と考えている宇宙人はいるんだろうか。そんなことを考えさせてくれた画像達でした。
今日はこの感動を早く書き出したい！と思って書いていますが、これからのブログで一つ一つの画像にどんな秘密が隠れているのか書いていきたいと思っています！

I have never been more excited, NASA with my FAVORITE telescope JWST has just released 4 new images of space on 12th of July 2022!! plus they have also shared with us an analogy of an atmosphere of a hot gas giant exoplanet. This brand new telescope was launched into space just around half a year ago and it is now all set to produce beautiful images.
It has captured images of:
-Carina Nebula
-Stephan's Quintet
-Southern Ring Nebula
-SMACS 0723, the deepest space human has ever seen.
I will go over all the images in this blog one by one, but today's article is just to let you know how excited I am ! One of a few things that fascinates me about those pictures is the unbelievably high resolutions of the background galaxies. The foreground images are of course unbelievable and breath taking. But when looking at those background galaxies, it just seems unreal to capture galaxies that are separated from us by the vastness of space millions of lightyears across. And I can still see the spiral shapes!
I could just stare at these images for ever, just sitting on my table, wondering how many stars there are in each galaxies, how small we all are compared to the universe.
