あらたつ先生: 今日は沖縄県うるま市のNo.1ラーメンをシェアしたいと思います（僕的に。笑）その前に沖縄って知っていますか？
Today, I am going to share my recommendations on the best of Ramen in Uruma City, Okinawa, Japan! Before that, do you know Okinawa? Haha
サアチ先生: はい！港町ですよね？
Yes, it is a port city, right?
あらたつ先生: うーん。港町は何を意味しますか？笑
Hmmm. What does a port city mean? Haha
サアチ先生: 船が他の国からたくさんの商品を持ってくる沿岸の街です。
A city on the sea coast where ships come in with a lot of goods from other countries.
あらたつ先生: あってます！沖縄県は日本の南の島です！
Right! Okinawa Prefecture is an island in the south of Japan!
サアチ先生: なるほど。
Okay.
あらたつ先生: 飛行機で1時間以内に台湾🇹🇼に行けます。沖縄から。
You can go to Taiwan within one hour by plane! Haha I mean from Okinawa.
サアチ先生: へー近いですね！
Oh, it's closer to Taiwan.
あらたつ先生: はい、台湾は日本本土より近いんです！
Yes, Taiwan is closer than the mainland of Japan!
サアチ先生: ググってみたら、沖縄は日本のハワイ🌺と呼ばれているようですね。笑
I just googled it. It says Okinawa is called the Hawaii of Japan. Ha Ha!
あらたつ先生: はい！サアチ先生の感覚では、インド🇮🇳のどれくらいの方が沖縄を知っていますか？深い意味はありません（笑）
Yes! In your opinion, how many people in India know about Okinawa? I am just curious! Haha
サアチ先生: ほとんどいないですね。おそらく数百人くらい？
It will be very less. Maybe a few hundreds?
あらたつ先生: なるほど！そうですよね（笑）
I see! I think so! Haha No problem!
サアチ先生: インド全体さえもわかりません。ほかの国を知るのは大変です😂😂😂
I don't even know the whole of India. Knowing another country is a bit difficult. 😂😂😂
あらたつ先生: わかります、インドはめちゃくちゃデカいですからね。
I know how you feel! India is a big country!!
サアチ先生: はい。日本全部知ってる？と言われればわからないのと同じです。
Definitely. Can you say that you have traveled all over Japan?
あらたつ先生: そうですね！
Right!
サアチ先生: ですよね！日本はもっと小さいですが、全ては周れないですよね！
See? Japan is much smaller in size and you haven't yet traveled it entirely.
あらたつ先生: そうですね（笑）今日のテーマなんですが、変に聞こえるかもしれませんが、子どものころ沖縄にラーメン屋はほとんどなかったんです！
Right! Haha As to today’s topic, ramen, you might think it is strange, but there were only a few ramen restaurants in Okinawa, when I was a child!
サアチ先生: ラーメンは日本の文化ではなくてはならないものですか？
Is Ramen a very integral part of Japanese food culture?
あらたつ先生: そうですね！僕の場合、少なくとも週1回は食べますね（笑）ラーメン食べないんですか？
Yes, it is! In my case, I eat it at least once a week! Haha Don’t you eat ramen?
サアチ先生: 食べます！ですが異なってます。乾燥しているというかスープがあまりないんです。
Yes, we do. But it is prepared differently. It is not very soupy, rather dry.
あらたつ先生: そうなんですか？写真を見せてもらえますか？笑
Really? Could you show me the picture? Haha
サアチ先生: いいですよ！
Yes, sure.
あらたつ先生: おいしそう！どれくらいの頻度でラーメンを食べますか？
Looks tasty!!! How often do you eat it?
サアチ先生: 毎週土曜日の夜はラーメンナイトです！
Saturday nights are Ramen nights.
あらたつ先生: 思ったより食べますね！
You eat it more times than I expected !
サアチ先生: おいしいですよ！ただ問題は、ここの麺は小麦粉で作られていて、健康的でないということです。それであまり作りません（笑）
Yes, it is. The problem is, the noodles you get here are made of plain flour, which is not healthy. So I don't make it much. Ha Ha!
あらたつ先生: ここでも同じです（笑）

サアチ先生: 私には2人の子どもがいます。彼らのためですね。ライスヌードルが古くからありますね。だけど、スープのラーメンではないですね。
I have two kids, Aratatsu sensei. It's mostly for them. We get a rice noodle, which is more traditional. But it is also prepared as a dry dish, not a soupy one.
あらたつ先生: ラーメンを食べることはインドの文化の１つですか？
Is eating ramen one of the Indian cultures?
サアチ先生: ちがいます！
No, it is not.
あらたつ先生: そうなんですか？
Is that right?
サアチ先生: さっき言ったように、南インドではライスヌードルを食べて、それが結婚普通です。
As I said, in South India, we have rice noodles, which is quite common.
あらたつ先生: そうなんですね！
Wow!
サアチ先生: これが私たちの「ライスヌードル」です。より健康的です。
This is our 'Rice Noodles' dish. It is a healthier alternative.
あらたつ先生: なるほど！
I see!
サアチ先生: （笑）野菜スープが好きなので、ラーメンをつくるのは好きです。
Haha I have usually loved the ramen way of making the dish because I love vegetables and soup.
□ 何を悩んでるの？うるま市で1番おすすめのラーメン屋はここです！
あらたつ先生: 沖縄では、劇的にラーメン屋さんが増えています！外国人が沖縄に来たときに、ベストラーメンを探すのに苦労すると思います。そこで、僕のNo.1のラーメン屋さんを紹介したいと思います！うるま市に絞ります！
In Okinawa, the number of ramen restaurants has been increasing dramatically! So, when people outside Japan visit Okinawa, I’d say they have difficulty in choosing the best ramen restaurants! So I would like to introduce the best ramen restaurant! Though it is narrowed down to Uruma City!
サアチ先生: わかりました！

あらたつ先生: でも、もちろん、好みは人それぞれです。僕の個人的なチョイスです。その名は「まるよし」です。塩ラーメンがメインです！沖縄でもベスト3に入ると思います！
Of course, each person has their own preference. This is my personal choice! The name of the best ramen restaurant is “Maruyoshi” Their primary flavor is 'Salt Flavored Ramen'! I’d say it is ranked within the best 3 in Okinawa Prefecture!
サアチ先生: いいですね！

あらたつ先生: 去年の夏に初めて行きました。ある知り合いが「めっちゃおいしいですよ！ラーメンで感動したのは初めてです！」って紹介してくれました（笑）それでインスタグラマーの友人とそこに行きました！結構時間経ってますが、彼はまだめちゃくちゃファンです（笑）よくラーメン屋に行くんですが、男性だけでなく女性もめちゃくちゃ気にいると思います。味がとても優しいです。レストランの中も個性があります。
I visited this place for the first time last summer. An acquaintance introduced the restaurant to me and said like, "It is super tasty and it was the first time I was touched by Ramen." Haha That’s why I went there with my friend, who is an Instagrammer! So much time has passed and he is still a big fan of it! Haha I often go to ramen restaurants. I’d say it is not just men, even women like this place a lot! The flavor is kind and friendly.! Haha The inside of the restaurant is different!
サアチ先生: そうなんですね！

あらたつ先生: 北谷にもありますね。ちなみにそのインスタグラマーの友人はフォロワーが10,000人います！そんな彼がファンなんです（笑）隠れた名店を知ることになるかもしれません。まるよし！
Then, they also have a branch in Chatan! Besides that, the Instagrammer has around 10,000 followers. Such a person is a big fan of it! Haha You may know a hidden good restaurant. I mean it is Mariyoshi!
サアチ先生: いいですね！

あらたつ先生: 外食するときはどこに行きますか？外ではどんな料理を食べるのが好きですか？
Where do you go out for eating? What kind of dish do you like to eat outside?
サアチ先生: えーと、有名なインド料理は「ビリヤニ」です。味が濃ゆくて野菜と肉を使ったお米の料理です。ベジタリアンだけどそのお店のビリヤニは好きですね。「ビリヤニンズモア」っていうお店があって、野菜のビリヤニを10種類以上提供します。とても好きな場所です。
Let me see. A famous Indian dish is 'Biriyani'. It is a rich, flavored rice dish made with vegetables or meat. We are vegetarians, yet, we love to eat Biriyani from a restaurant. There is a restaurant called 'Biriyanis and More', which serves more than 10 different varieties of vegetarian Biriyani. That is our favorite place to eat out.
