私たちどうぶつ出版社は、2021年に思い付きで設立された架空の出版社です。​

この出版社を設立しようと思いついたきっかけは、2020年頃から世界中で猛威を振るう新型ウィルスにより、普段の暮らしや旅行などが制限され、これらの新鮮な体感による創作活動が困難な状況下において、これまでに蓄積されたインプット情報を高度に活用した脳内ジェネレーターによるイマジネーション・アウトプット・システムの早期確立のためのスタディー・フィールドが必要であったためです。​

絵本を自分達で作ってみよう！

同時に、当社スタッフの子供たちが、図書館や本屋に行くことができないことを目の当たりにしたことです。絵本は子供たちに世界をわかりやすく伝える、とても大切なツールであり、すぐれた作品はまさに人生の指標ともなります。私たちの小さなパートナーたちに、どのようにこの世界を説明していけばよいのだろうか？​

新しい絵本を「どうせなら自分たちで創ろう」と思いました。絵本の構想を進めていく中で、一つ気が付いたことがあります。それは、在宅勤務が世界的に広がり、多くの人が自宅で子供たちの目の届く場所で仕事ができるということは、それだけコミュニケーションの時間も作りやすいということ。また、絵本の「読み手」が「聞き手」にその内容を「自分の言葉で話すこと」もできるのではないか。​

読み手と聞き手の絵本

このような思いから、どうぶつ出版社の作品の多くには「最低限のワード」しか使われていません。その絵本の状況や登場人物の心理状態などは、読み手と聞き手が相互にコミュニケーションを取りながら時に主演として、時に名脇役として、私たちどうぶつ出版社のストーリーを作り出してくれるのです。​

We are a fictional publishing company, founded in the year 2021 on an idea.​

We decided to establish this publishing company because we needed a place to study in order to quickly establish an output system of imagination by means of a brain generator that makes advanced use of the input information that we have accumulated so far, in a situation where the new virus that will rage around the world from around 2020 restricts daily life and travel, making it difficult for creative activities that make use of these fresh experiences.​

At the same time, we had seen that the children of our staff do not have access to libraries or bookstores. Picture books are a very important tool to show children the world in a way they can easily understand, and good books can be a true indicator of life. How can we explain this world to our little partners?​

We decided to make a new picture book ourselves. As we were working on the concept of the picture book, we realized something. With the spread of telecommuting and the ability to work within sight of our children, it has become easier for us to have time for communication.
This also means that the reader of a picture book can talk about the contents of the book in his or her own words to the listener.​

With this in mind, many of my works are expressed with a minimum number of words. This leaves room for the reader and listener to communicate and delve deeper into the situation of the picture book and the psychological state of the characters.​
We use the star system. The star system means that just as actors play different characters in different movies, characters can play not only the main roles but also appear in different movies. In this way,
the characters we create are not disposable, but are the main or sometimes supporting characters in our story.​
