Exploring Andaman: My Honeymoon Trip at Andaman

The Andaman and Nicobar islands are an archipelago off the east coast of India in the Bay of Bengal. Known for their pristine beaches and serene atmosphere, these islands are the perfect place for a relaxing and refreshing vacation.I was there with a friend for three days, and now I have a lot of information to share that I hope will be useful to you.

To maximize logistical efficiency, we booked our Andaman Honeymoon Tour Package through an well experience agency called Andaman Bliss. We booked a premium package as we wanted our stay to be comfortable. Package includes stay and travel, as well as complimentary jet ski rides.

Upon arrival at Port Blair Airport, I was slightly surprised by the infrastructure of the building. The airport is very small and has limited facilities. It goes without saying that it is very different from airports in major cities in India.I was glad that a representative from the travel agency was ready and waiting when I left the airport.

My friend and I were taken to our hotel which, in a word, was appalling. For starters, the elevator was barely working and the toilet was broken. It was nothing like his images on the Internet.I'm not going to go into too much detail, but suffice it to say that this hotel certainly doesn't justify the premium price we paid.

An important fact is that all travelers should know that the Andaman Islands do not have internet service. WiFi is available in some hotels, but generally only in the lobby. On smaller islands like Havelock Island, even basic phone service is not always available.

This obstacle was a problem since my friend and I couldn't even investigate to stay in other hotels. Finally, after several calls to the travel agency, they agreed to put us in a separate hotel when they returned from Havelock to Port Blair. The second hotel they chose was called Keys, and it was excellent (it was also within walking distance from the airport).

DAY 1 : PORT BLAIR

Our first day was spent in Port Blair. We visit a beach called Corbyn's Cove. It was heavily populated, and most of the people were not in bathing suits. The popular dress code was much more conservative, so I would recommend wearing shorts and a T-shirt or something on this beach.

On the beach, I went for a free jet ski ride. It was nice, but very little.

After the beach, we were taken to the sound and light show at Port Blair's star attraction: the Cell Prison. The prison was built by the British, and is now a popular tourist attraction. While doing some research before the trip, I came across Many reviews praising the light and sound show. But for those of you who have performed shows at the Akshardham temple in Delhi before such shows elsewhere, for example, I must warn you that this sound and light show has different parts of the prison.Includes up to one hour of illumination-Long sound is played through surround sound speakers. While the story told was interesting (you should know that the story is told in Hindi), the'Light and Sound 'show was lacking.

Restaurants are scattered across the island (nightlife is negligible), but since browsing would be impossible without an internet connection, we decided to play it safe and dine at the hotel.

DAY 2 : HAVELOCK

Havelock Island is one of the most popular islands among tourists. There are plenty of hosting options, though I must remind you that images on the internet can be misleading. We stayed at the Bluebird Resort, which was simple but pleasant.

Shortly after arriving, we headed towards Radhanagar beach. This beach is one of the best beaches in India. With white sand, clear blue water, and the tree lined shoreline, it was the highlight of my trip.If you don't want to Join the main crowd, then it's easy to find the secluded part of the beach. Here, it is safe to wear any swimsuit you want.Locals are respectful and polite. Bathing on the beach, however, is not for the faint of heart. After a lazy afternoon, we took a walk in the trees and then returned to the hotel.

DAY 3 : HAVELOCK

The third day started with diving. It was not included in the package, so we had to pay separately.Since no one had ever dived before, I had an amazing time.Throughout the hour-long course, you and your guide will explore the coral reefs and immerse yourself in the impressive diversity of flora and fauna near the coast.

After diving, we were about to board Elephant Beach in a speedboat. But as it rained earlier that day, the island was closed for security reasons. Then we walk towards Kalapathar beach. This beach is ideal for those who like to take long walks, since the landscape is very picturesque.

DAY 4 : PORT BLAIR

The same day, we took the 4:00 pm ferry.back from Port Blair, where we spent our last night in the Andaman Islands.

This trip gave me a much needed break from my working life in Delhi.I went in early April and the weather was perfect. It had rained a few days before arriving, but it only rained once when I went there. The temperature never exceeded 34 degrees centigrade.Locals are friendly and helpful, and the islands are quite safe for women.I would recommend this trip for those who want to go somewhere and keep quiet.I hope that my experience helps you in your planning. Have a good trip!

PS: the corals or shells you collect on the islands will be confiscated at the airport. After pleading with the airport staff, they finally agreed to take me back with me.
