Shopping on local walks, etc.

This is what I saw when I wandered around in Dhaka, the city I visited this time.

Eastern Plus Shopping Complex

There were casual goods and knick-knacks for sale. I bought an imitation necklace because I wanted an accessory with a point of interest. There are also clothes, food, toys, digital goods, flowers, cosmetics, snacks, etc. Located on Shantinagar Rd. in Rajarbagh.

Meena Bazar

Small and clean grocery and daily necessities. Slightly western atmosphere. However, I hardly see any foreign customers. If you need help, I can show you around. If you need help, we will show you around. I bought some tea and cookies. There are many supermarkets in Bangladesh. Opening hours seem to vary from store to store, but they are not open early in the morning or late at night like convenience stores in Japan.

Vikrampur Mistanna Bhander

Offers trendy mithi (fresh sweets) and rusk-like sweets (dry cakes). Some of them are not suitable for souvenirs to Japan due to their short shelf life. The one in this area seemed to be a new store that had just opened. The store is clean and modern. Is this the best place to buy souvenirs when you are invited to a party? Next to Mina Bazaar. There seem to be several stores in other areas.

PS

This time, I packed an in-flight pouch from Japan, a pouch with some soft candies, earplugs, an eye mask, portable slippers, a copy of my e-ticket just in case, boarding pass, ballpoint pen, mini-loupe, and so on. Although expensive to buy in an emergency, it was quite comfortable to prepare in advance. If you want even more peace of mind, you might want to have a picture of your boarding pass or airline ticket.
