💙TRY💙United Nations' Web TV

Today, I am going to start studying English by writing 'note' here in English. This is much more challenging than writing in my familiar mother tongue, Japanese. Some of my friends who studied abroad writes their post of Facebook in foreign language and it looks so cool when I see them receiving comments from all over the world.

To tell the truth, I am going to take the exam of Eiken this month, in about 2 weeks. I did not manage to find enough time to read my text or have chance to talk with foreigners. It takes so long time to explain what I am thinking in foreign language. Also, I feel ashamed, because I know my writing is bad.

I have been compromising myself for so long time. For example, I used to blame my parents who did not have chance to work abroad, and to let me study abroad when I was younger. Finally I have decided to make myself a better English writer.

My university had a lot of foreign students who studied very hard to get their governmental scholarship. They were from countries that do not use English as their official language, like Hungary, Russia and Brazil. I remember they spoke Japanese as well as their mother tongue and English.

In my spare time, I work very hard to travel abroad, but not to study abroad. As traveling abroad seemed to cost a fortune,  I chose to give up saving money to study but becoming  a backpacker. Well, of course, it was also a life-changing and once-in-a lifetime experience to visit foreign country alone, with the money I earned.

Maybe I can write a pretty book because I travelled more than 20 countries and almost every prefectures in Japan, as a backpacker. I used to have my own tiny tent to sleep outdoor when I conduct a long trail trip. Camping was also my passion when I was teenager, but I do not have so many chance to do it. I really need to find new friends who can enjoy camping with me.

Anyway, I will wrap up my article by introducing a very useful Web TV I was watching today. That is a 24  hour live programming that is recorded by United Nations. If you google with the word "United Nation's Web TV", you can find it. If it is hard to find, just click here to jump straight to the page.

It is really fun to watch the programm, or just to stream it like listening to a radio. They bring us the latest information from all over the world and that is very helpful to know what is going on in different places on earth. I have noticed that how much I miss to travel the world.

In the report from Ghana, EU, Local Researcher and entrepreneurs are trying to solve the plastic wastes that cause huge damage to the ocean. Researchers like Professor Eden from University of Ghana is studying the effect.

Recycling plastic is also making progress in Ghana. Some entrepreneurs focused on this problem and have found the way to used these plastics. Plastics left on the beach are collected,  gathered, then separated in colors, then, shredded to make other products.

Some other news are from NY, Jamaica, Malaysia, Dominica and South Africa. It is amazing to get international news directly without interpretors, isn't it?  I hope my effort can continue.
