"人の幸せを願わない人ほど、哀れな人はいない"

どんなに陽気な人に見えても、人の幸せを願わない人は、心底不幸です。

ジョン・レノンはこう書いている。

“No man is as pitiful as one who doesn’t wish others happiness.”

However jovial one might appear, one is profoundly unhappy if one doesn’t wish happiness for others. Or as John Lennon wrote:

靴をピカピカに磨いてスーツでキメてみたり
髪をとかして けっこうキュートに見せてみたり
作り笑いで素顔を隠したりもできるんだ
だけど一つだけ隠せないことがある
心が蝕まれてしまったのは隠せないんだ

仮面をかぶったり化粧をしたりはできる
自分が人間だって主張することもできる
襟のあるシャツとネクタイでオシャレもできる
