「あきふゆのふく」をお披露目したところで、もう少しブランドについてお話しいたしましょう。
すべてのアイテムに、ちょこんといるCleo（クレオ）。見つけた？
このクレオ、実は数字の丸文字でできています。
0と6は耳、1と7は角（つの）、2は口、348は首、5鼻、9は右目です。
『こどもの成長』を数字で表現。Wow!

そんなきりんのクレオの長〜いくびを身長計の目盛に見立ててデザインしたのがこちら。Tadaaaaa!（ジャジャーン！の意。）

上からクレオ、9、0、8、0、7、0と丸文字の数字が続き、
目盛りは1cmずつドットを並べてあります。

身長計に早変わり🌼
ロンパースやボディスーツ、ジャンプスーツをサイズ60-90の4サイズ展開しているため、身長も90cmまで測れる仕様にしています。
ここで少し開発の裏バナを🍌
わたしたち夫婦の両腕（4本）に収まらないほどいただいたベビーギフト・出産祝い。
息子のことを想ったプレゼント、産後の身体を労る贈り物…どれもこれも贈り手の気持ちがとてもとてもとてもうれしいものでした。
その反面…
過剰なラッピング、紙とプラスチック、テープ、リボンの分別をしながら、少し複雑な気持ちになりました。
立派な化粧箱は、取っておいてみるものの使わずじまい。
イギリスでは、環境に配慮した無漂白な包装箱や袋を庶民派スーパー Sainsbury’s や、大手スーパー TESCO、ドラッグストアの Bootsなどいたるところで見かけます。そんなパッケージには、ユーモアも含まれていたり…☺︎
人々の生活にエコフレンドリーが根付いているイギリスの日常を目にしてきたことが「身長計になるギフトボックス」、「プレイフルカラーのベビー服」のデザインルーツとなっています。
無漂白な箱にイエロークレオを乗せたギフトボックス、オーガニックコットンにおもいきり色を塗ることにしたのも、この発想から🌼
わたしは、息子の成長記録をまめにしていたタイプではありませんが、
乳児検診や、近所の住区センターで身長と体重を測ってもらえたときは、何だかホクホクうれしいものでした。
毎月撮り溜めていた息子の月齢フォトに、身長計を横に並べていたら…
ひと月ごとの成長の差が目に見えて、もっと楽しかっただろうなあと考えたことがありました。

Hidden within the fluffy striped borders is... Cleo, who can be found in every item. Have you spotted her?
**Cleo the Giraffe**
This Cleo is actually made out of rounded numbers!
0 and 6 are the ears, 1 and 7 are the horns, 2 is the mouth, 348 is the neck, 5 is the nose, and 9 is the right eye.
It represents "a child’s growth" expressed through numbers. Wow!
When the product arrives at your home, or when you pick it up at a department store popup, try searching for Cleo! 🦒
This design, using Cleo the giraffe’s long neck as a height chart scale, is what inspired the gift box. Tadaaaa! (Meaning "Ta-dah!")

Starting from Cleo at the top, the rounded numbers 9, 0, 8, 0, 7, 0 follow, with the scale marked in 1cm increments as dotted lines.

Since the romper, bodysuit, and jumpsuit are available in four sizes (60-90), the height chart measures up to 90cm.

I received so many baby gifts and birth celebration presents that I couldn’t hold them all.
The presents were thoughtful gestures for my son or kind gifts to comfort my postpartum body, and I was deeply touched by the givers' care and emotions.
However...
The excess wrapping, separating paper, plastic, tape, and ribbons left me with mixed feelings.
I’d save the beautiful gift boxes, but they often went unused.
In the UK, you can find eco-friendly, unbleached packaging boxes and bags everywhere, from budget supermarkets like Sainsbury's to big stores like TESCO and Boots. Their packaging often includes a touch of humor too...☺︎
Seeing this eco-conscious lifestyle ingrained in the UK's daily life inspired the design of the "height chart gift box."
Although I wasn’t the type to meticulously record my son’s growth, I was always happy when his height and weight were measured at baby health checkups or the local community center.
At one point, I thought how fun it would’ve been if I had a height chart alongside the monthly milestone photos I’d taken. That’s when I came up with the idea to make a height chart through upcycling!
Whether for personal use or as a baby gift, a height chart gift box ♡ is something I hope you’ll enjoy.
