This time, it's Hanamusic! I'm so happy to collaborate with them! As "Sashimi"-chan, I'd like to talk to Hanamusic's artists, [Tomoko] and [DADA]! They are a married couple artists.

Treehopper SOFUBI Project! No, Treehopper Activity! and other words, they are the artists that interests me in many ways, so I'd like to focus on them and dig deeper.

Hanamusic: How "Sashimi" came to be.

Hanamusic: I hope people will enjoy the small story of the insect world and the discomfort feeling of the setting, which is just like an illustrated book. Sashimi is a childhood friend of the character "Togemaru", who will appear in the future, and lives in Garitsumaga Hill and plays with Togemaru in Chikuwa Park. So to collect them, you have to go to Garitsumaga Hill or chikuwa Park. That's the setting. There are unrealistic settings, like wanting to be a shoemaker, but it is true that she is not a cecada and that she is Hemiptera in order.

What was the most difficult part of making your first SOFUBI?

Hanamusic: As for modeling, I create the original form in three dimensions, but I consult with the prototype sculptor and ask him to help me. I can get advice from them based on their experience, and they can give me the best solution for making the soft vinyl based on my quirks and personality. As for the coloring, I color the figure for the color specification and hand it over to the factory for mass production. In the beginning, we used to specify the colors in pantone, but since it was difficult to specify the colors in clear, and there were differences in density and texture, so I thought that it would be easier to convey, so I started painting the sample to make it easier for people to understand. Sometimes the two of us disagree with each other, so we decide while discussing. I am thinking of combining different materials such as wool, and my husband is working on dyeing wool. I want to make something really good, so I ask professionals for the parts that I lack. And
I am only grateful to the craftsmen who face it. I think the artists who does
everything alone is amazing. Also, I've become accustomed to airbrushes a little, so I'd like to make more custom-colored works.

pleasant sense of discomfort.
