Originally, Shigeki has been drawing pictures for a long time, and from there, he moved on to modeling. He has been illustrating since he can remember, and once he started working for a figure maker. Then, "I wanted to become a creator, so I studied modeling", he says.

When he was working as a sculptor, he was once asked to make sofubi as an outsourced project, and was exposed to sofubi. That's when he realized that sofubi was interesting and became inspired to make his own.

What made you decide to use bread as a subject?

Shigeki: I'm sorry, it's simple, but I like bread and zombies. LOL!

As for the setting, I've decided on the outer framework, but I don't dare to go into detail, hoping that viewers will enjoy imagining what they want to see.

Shigeki: Since the motif is bread and the human body, I am conscious of not to use too many straight edges and try to create a soft form. The motif is not mechanical, so I try not to make it completely symmetrical.

In 20XX AD, a mysterious virus suddenly broke out and instantly threw the world into a panic. People were a little confused and frightened by the incomprehensible symptoms that all infected people turned into bread zombies.

The virus, which appears to be a mutation of yeast, has been named "TK yeast". The delicious bread that everyone loved has now become an object of fear.
