[Let's dye SOFUBI] Easy! Full explanation of dyeing at home that can be done cheaply at home! "Migupiro" style gradation, no airbrush, nor compressor needed! I dyed a Slime Takkun SOFUBI figure!

Miyazawa Boe-'s Mrs. Migupiro taught me how to dye SOFUBI.

You can dye SOFUBI beautifully without using an airbrush or a compressor. It can be done at home, and you can challenge it at a low price, so I highly recommend trying new dyeing techniques during your home time.

Q: What is the dyeing process?

A: We use dyes sold at handicraft stores. We dye a lot, but I don't use any special items such as those for professional use. We dissolve the dye in hot water, soak the SOFUBI for a certain period of time, and then wash it off with water.

Q: What made you start dyeing, Mrs. Migupiro?

A: When I first started collecting SOFUBI, I saw some SOFUBI that had been dyed instead of colored, and I knew how to dye when I was doing cosplay, so I thought I'd try it myself! That's when I decided to try it myself. After trying various things, I realized that clear dyeing worked beautifully, so I started experimenting with clear bodies when I got them, Looking back now, I think the desire to dye more and more was one of the reasons why I decided to make my own SOFUBI.

Now, I would like to do it.

1- What you'll need

-Dyes

-Tapper ware (low container)

-Disposable chopsticks, whipper etc. (for stirring)

-Thick gloves

-Buckets

-PET-bottle (convenient to have)

-Funnel (convenient to have)

-Rags or towels (that is OK to get dirty)

-SOFUBI that you want to dye

-Microwave

-Dropper

Fill the container with hot water and add the dye and mix it.

And dip the SOFUBI!

If you want a darker color, reheat the dye solution in the microwave and soak it again. Repeat this process to dye in a satisfactory pattern.

*It has to be very hot water, if you want to dye them well.*

When you are satisfied with the color thickness, wash it with water to remove the dye.

And separately, I would like to demonstrate how it makes a difference if milky white body are dyed with the same solution.

画像4

There are various types of SOFUBI bodies.

画像5

Just the difference in the body will make a difference in the finished product. Both are good, so I like them!

I think the gradation comes out better with a clear body than a milky white one.

The atmosphere of the finished product is completely different between clear and milky white.

Dyeing is...interesting and a lot easier than I thought it would be!

I talk about it in detail on YouTube.
