Genki Sato, appointed Executive Officer and CTO of Yappli

Yappli, Inc., a company providing a no-code mobile app platform, Yappli (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director and CEO: Yasubumi Ihara, hereinafter “Yappli, Inc.”) announced the appointment of Genki Sato as Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”), effective as of January 1, 2022.

■ Background
The former CTO, Masafumi Sano has been involved in the development of Yappli, Inc. from before the establishment of Fastmedia Inc. (Current Yappli, Inc.), and has led Yappli, Inc., in terms of technical aspects. 8 years have passed since the service launch and in anticipation of further stage of growth, Masafumi Sano will be succeeded by Genki Sato, who has showcased not only technical expertise but also his sound decision making capabilities. Masafumi Sano will continue to be involved in the development of Yappli, Inc. as Director and the Manager of “Sano Lab” where he leads innovative projects.

Genki Sato, the newly appointed Executive Officer and CTO, studied computer science from his early days and has consistently pursued a career as an engineer after graduating from university. After joining Yappli, Inc. in 2018, he has contributed to the company's growth by devoting himself to Yappli Inc.’s technology enhancement and strengthening the product development team. From 2021, he has led the Product Development Department as the Vice President and proven his leadership by navigating the team through transformational times. He is highly regarded by developers as well as by General Managers and Vice Presidents of other departments. Yappli, Inc. will continue to develop products that will impress customers and create a product team that will allow the company to grow even further.
