16. Hey Mama

この曲は泣けます！！

この曲は2000年に書かれ、2005年にFinalバージョンとしてリリース。Kanyeを独り身で育てた母、Donda Westに対する曲である。オペラ形式のライブでこの曲を母を観客に迎えた上で披露し、Dondaはこの曲を着メロにするほど気に入っていたと言う。しかし2007年11/10にDondaは整形手術の後の合併症として心筋梗塞にて他界。この事はカニエの心を強く痛め、精神的に深いダメージを彼に負わせた。
2017年11/10、Dondaの10回忌において、カニエの長年のNemesisであるTaylorが6thアルバムReputationをリリース。これに対しカニエのファンが同日にHey Mamaを流しまくりBillboardチャート一位にしようとする運動をした。
