spontaneous writing [20220917]

I think I had written about my favorite actress Miyoshi Ayaka before.  I heard on her YouTube that she is using a perfume of Diptyque.  It was a video of showing what she carries in her bag every day.  I like that kind of YouTube.  I find it's interesting what people carry in their bags.  Last year, I bought the same perfume as hers.  It was expensive and it was my first perfume in my life.  It smelled really like an expensive perfume and I loved it.

A few month after that, I noticed that I felt sick when I wore the perfume.  That perfume was named philosykos and it means figs in Greek.  It was supposed to smell like a fig but my ex boyfriend told me that it smelled like coconut.  I finally noticed that it was a fake product.  I bought it from Amazon, so it might happened.

Then I bought an authentic one at Diptyque at Omotesando, and it smelled different.  Actually, when I realized that what I bought from Amazon was fake, I thought I didn't have to buy an authentic one.  Of course it was too expensive to buy another one, but I had another reason.  I could already feel happy that I wear the same perfume as Miyoshi Ayaka.  It doesn't matter what it actually smells.  After that thought, I just wondered what exactly "brand" is.  It is not always needed to be authentic.

When I went to Bali when I was a student, I wanted a Supreme's cap there.  I knew it was a copy, but I just thought it's cool.  I actually got one but I threw it away before the flight.  I didn't want to be in a trouble at the airport.

From then I wished that I had not bought Diptyque perfume on Amazon,  I decided to do shopping at authentic shops.  Hopefully it is better on real shops not online.  I sometimes find bags that are similar to high-brand bags on cheep online shops.

I like an influencer called Seika.  She runs her own fashion brand.  A few weeks ago she went to Paris and posted a vlog.  She wanted to buy her cosmetics in Paris, so she brought nothing from Japan.  But she found that everything is too expensive in Paris, so she decided to buy cheaper products.  She took a video when she uses what she bought there.  What she bought was things you can also find in Japan.  She acted like she has never used such cheap stuff.  She is rich because her brand is going very successful.  She has a lot of luxury goods.  I sometimes wonder that if I were rich, if I would be thinking that I want luxury goods too.

In my case I don't even like buying stuff.  When I want something, I always think carefully if I really need it.  When I started living alone in the dormitory, I could not even buy a TV for me, because it was not exactly as necessary as something like a fridge or a washing machine.   I think maybe I was the only citizen in Tokyo who didn't have a TV while Tokyo Olympic games.  So basically, I am not interested in brand products, except for cases like Miyoshi Ayaka's perfume.  I just keep wondering what exactly brand is.
