We, V.W , hereby pledge the following to interview the consulter about the actual situation of harassment and sexual assault at Tokyo University of the Arts.

1. The consulter may bring a witness whom he/she wishes to be present at the interview.

2. In the case of face-to-face and Zoom interviews, both the consulter and our interviewer will record all conversations as audio data. It is to ensure that there is no spin on the story nor controversial statement.

3. In the case of a Zoom interview, we will conduct the interview in a place where no one else can hear the conversation to protect the privacy of the consulter and the contents.

4. We will send the consulter the list of questions for the interview in advance for him/her to check. If the consulter notifies us of any topics that he/she feels uncomfortable speaking about, we will avoid them for the interview.

5. If face-to-face communication is a burden, an option to perform a survey through survey sheets is available.

6. To protect the consulter’s privacy, all the contents of the interviews we conducted are saved only on a dedicated hard disk to prevent information leakage. We do not leave any information on our personal terminals or memos.

7. We will always present to the consulter an option of canceling the interview at any time and strive to reduce his/her burden.

8. We will prepare two copies of letter of pledge, covering the above paragraphs 1 through 7, for the consulter to confirm them in writing. Upon his/her confirmation, we will start the interview.
