Alright welcome back. You may be wondering what on Earth is going on with these blue lines on black lines and why some of them are blue some of them are black and so on. Just want to talk about that quickly.

さて、お帰りなさい。皆さんは、この黒文字に青文字がいったい何なのか、なぜ青いものと黒いものがあるのか、などと疑問に思っているかもしれません。それについて簡単に説明しましょう。

You've already seen that these calculation blocks are made up of links and there are two kinds of links. Links that come from another sheet which we call those imported links, and links that come from this sheet which we call local links.

これらの計算ブロックがリンクで構成されていることはすでに見たとおりですが、リンクには2種類あります。他のシートから来たリンクを"インポートリンク"と呼び、このシートから来たリンクを"ローカルリンク"と呼びます。

Why do we differentiate in formatting? It’s really all about understanding the flows in your model. Knowing that stuff comes from another sheet is really helpful. But also later, when we are building other calculation blocks, it’s really efficient to be able to copy links.

なぜフォーマットに違いがあるのか？それは、自分のモデルのフローを理解するためです。他のシートから来ているものを知っていると、とても便利です。また、後に他の計算ブロックを構築する際にも、リンクをコピーできるのはとても効率的です。

If it’s blue, it means you can copy it to any other sheet in the model. So I need this operating period flat in another sheet. "Shift+Space Bar", "Ctrl+C", I can take it to this sheet with "Shift+Space Bar", Enter. And because it’s blue, it’s an imported link, it’s got time sheet information in it. I can do Ctrl+Shift+j and that takes me back to the time sheet.

青色であれば、モデル内の他のシートにコピーできることを意味します。つまり、この営業期間のフラットを他のシートで必要としています。「Shift+Space Bar」、「Ctrl+C」、「Shift+Space Bar」、「Enter」でこのシートにコピーできます。青色なので、インポートされたリンクであり、タイムシートの情報が含まれています。「Ctrl+Shift+J」で、タイムシートに戻ることができます。

Where with my local links, if I do "Shift + Space Bar", "Ctrl + C", goes to the other sheet. "Shift + Space Bar", "Enter", because it’s a local link it’s just pointing to row 27 on this sheet and that is no good to me whatsoever.So let’s clear this out.

私のローカルリンクでは、「Shift + Space Bar」、「Ctrl + C」を実行して、他のシートに移動すると、「Shift + Space Bar」、「Enter」では、ローカルリンクなので、このシートの27行目を指しているだけで、何の意味もありません。

Imported links marked blue, and local links we mark them in black shade. You will notice that your paste link macros take care of the formatting for you.

インポートされたリンクは青で、ローカルのリンクは黒でマークします。貼り付けリンクのマクロが、あなたに代わって書式設定をしてくれることに気づくでしょう。

So "Ctrl+C", "Ctrl + Page Down", if I do "Ctrl+Shift+Q", that automatically marks it as an import. And I can do "Ctrl+Shift+A". And I hop back, you’ll notice that the other side is marked in red. Why does that happen? Anything that is used in another sheet, is marked as an export. And that’s red font. The reason we do that is it's really important to know which bits of your model are being used elsewhere. And if you didn't mark it there would be no way of knowing until you delete something and your model blows up.

つまり、「Ctrl+C」、「Ctrl+Page Down」、「Ctrl+Shift+Q」を実行すると、自動的にインポートとしてマークされます。そして、「Ctrl+Shift+A」を実行します。そして戻ると、反対側が赤でマークされていることに気づくでしょう。なぜこのようなことが起こるのでしょうか？他のシートで使用されるものは、エクスポートとしてマークされます。そしてそれは赤いフォントです。そうする理由は、自分のモデルのどの部分が他の場所で使われているかを知ることがとても重要だからです。もしマークを付けていなかったら、何かを削除してモデルが吹き飛んでしまうまで、知る方法がないのです。

And so it's ok to delete sections of your model even they are used elsewhere, this just tells you “look, if it used somewhere else in the model”. If you are going to delete it, you are going to have to manage those areas of the model that are referring to this. So this keeps you in a lot more control of what’s going where in your model. You don’t generally have to think about it. Your past link macros will take care of it. If you want to manually apply the font color formatting, then Ctrl+Shift+B" will apply black font, b for black, "Ctrl+Shift+X", x for export will apply export formatting, then if you want to apply import shading, then "Ctrl+Shift+M", will apply that shading.

また、モデルの一部を削除しても、それが他の場所で使われていても問題ありません。削除する場合は、これを参照しているモデルの領域を管理しなければなりません。このように、モデルのどこに何があるのかをより細かく管理することができます。一般的には、考える必要はありません。過去のリンクマクロがそれを処理してくれます。手動でフォントカラーのフォーマットを適用したい場合は、「Ctrl+Shift+B」でブラックフォント、Ｂはブラック、「Ctrl+Shift+X」でエクスポート、Xはエクスポートのフォーマットを適用し、インポートシェーディングを適用したい場合は、「Ctrl+Shift+M」でシェーディングを適用することができます。

OK we generally apply these in calculation areas of our model, by definition everything in the input sheet is imported so we don’t mark it and similarly stuff on the financial statement is all imported so we don’t mark that. It’s really about understanding the flows between your sheets and calculations.

一般的には、モデルの計算領域にこれらを適用します。定義上、入力シートにあるものはすべてインポートされているのでマークしませんし、同様に、財務諸表にあるものもすべてインポートされているのでマークしません。つまり、シートと計算の間のフローを理解することが重要なのです。
