Four Prayers (1)
This October is Prayer month in my church. We learned some keys of the best prayer. I would like to make notes and share them.
What is PRAYER?
Prayer is breathing: Humans need breathing, can’t live without it. Like that, we pray for getting power and nourishment.
Prayer is a communication: God is only perfect source of our power and nourishment. So, we can get them through a communication or relationship with the God.
Prayer is hearing: We also pray our wish and finish. But God absolutely give us answers to our prayer. Therefore, we should listen to it after we pray something.
Week1: The Prayer of Jabez
Jabez is a person name. It means pain, sadness, suffering or like that. He prayed to God for this little bad name.
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10
God pleased with his prayer and blessed him in order to this prayer.
Keys of this prayer; for God’s rejoice
1) Jabez acknowledged him weakness and trusted to the God completely. He only hope blessings from the God.
2) Jabez expected for heaven’s good treasures coming and spreading on the earth.
3) Jabez asked always God’s hands existent with him. It is because of resurrection, healing, and protection from problems and evils and suffering.
Week2: The Prayer in the third Heaven
The Words of this week:
The third Heaven
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.
2 Corinthians 12:2,4
Jesus’ prayer
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31-32
The Holy Spirit’s prayer
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27
Keys of the prayer in the third Heaven:
1) Relate with the Holy Spirit
2) Pray in the tongues; this is language of the Holy Spirit
3) Acknowledged own weakness and humble oneself
4) Pray with the body of Christ, the church, the family
We have the prayer only on the earth. It is the grate present by God for us!!
Let’s put down the heaven through our prayer!!
