イーストパレスティン（米国オハイオ州・列車事故による化学物質汚染）からの化学物質の降下物は16カ国に広がった。 新たな危機が起こるたびに、私たちは古い危機から注意をそらされます。しかし、私たちはそれらを忘れると、同じことを繰り返す危険を冒します。なぜなら、それらはすべて共通の原因から生じているからです。その原因は、利益による政治の腐敗です。私たちは説明責任の文化だけでなく、国家の卓越性と相互扶助の文化を作らなければなりません。法律だけでは十分ではありません。あらゆるものからすべての人を守るには、警察官や公益弁護士が十分であることは決してありません。しかし、アメリカで相互扶助の文化を再現すれば、裁判所や法執行機関に頼る必要はありません。その代わりに、私たちは再び努力するでしょう。私たち全員が愛する国のために、私たち自身の方法--で、できる限り最高のアメリカ人になろうと。 #Kennedy24
Chemical fallout from East Palestine has spread across 16 states. Each new crisis distracts our attention from older ones. But we forget them at the peril of repeating them, for they all arise from a common source. That source is the corruption of politics by profit. We must not only create a culture of accountability, but of national excellence and mutual aid. Law is not enough. There will never be enough policemen and public interest lawyers to protect everyone from everything. But if we recreate in America a culture of mutual care, we won’t have to rely on the courts and law enforcement. Instead, we will once again strive – each in our own way -- to be the best American we can be, for the nation we all love. #Kennedy24
