寺田亮平のソロ1stアルバム「Kyzyl Tokyo / クズル・トーキョー」からの先行シングル。トゥバ音楽演奏家、喉歌(のどうた)歌手である本アーティスト寺田亮平は、2010年より10年間毎年夏の2~3ヶ月間ロシア連邦トゥバ共和国の首都クズルに滞在し、師匠であるモングンオール・オンダールや多くの現地ミュージシャンと交流しながらトゥバの伝統的な音楽を学んできた日本人アーティスト。トゥバの音楽文化を踏襲しながら、自身のオリジナル楽曲や日本の伝承歌などを含めたサウンドと歌詞で独自の世界を展開している。本楽曲は東京で共演してきた多数のゲストミュージシャンを迎え、トゥバ共和国の喉歌（のどうた）と民族楽器イギルをフィーチャー。ストリングスを交えたバンドサウンドに仕上げられている。

喉歌をはじめとするトゥバ共和国の伝統的音楽とポップミュージックをクロスオーバーさせた野心的な1stソロアルバム「Kyzyl Tokyo / クズル・トーキョー」は2023年11月8日にリリース予定。

Ryohei Terada / Melody

This is a single pre-released from Ryohei Terada's first solo album "Kyzyl Tokyo".Ryohei Terada is a musician from Japan, trained in Tuvan traditional music and throat singing. Since 2010, he has been practicing the traditional music and throat singing of Tuva while staying in Kyzyl, the capital city of Tuva, for around three months every year. Ryohei’s teacher is one of the leading Tuvan musicians, Möngün-Ool Ondar. He has also learned the music through interacting with many other local musicians. Ryohei’s music is a unique style following that of Tuvan traditional music, but also pursuing his own compositions and arranged compositions of Japanese traditional songs.

This piece features the Tuvan throat singing and folk instrument igil, joined by guest musicians who have performed with him in Tokyo, adding a touch of strings to the band sound.

Ryohei’s first solo album and his adventurous attempt "Kyzyl Tokyo" is a crossover sound of Tuvan traditional music and pop music, scheduled to be released on November 8, 2023.
