Loneliness in 8 billion

### A World of Eight Billion

In a world of eight billion souls,
I stand alone, a single role.
Each face a story, each heart a beat,
Yet how many will I ever meet?

A sea of strangers, countless waves,
In crowded cities and quiet caves.
They walk beside me, pass me by,
Unseen stars in my endless sky.

What chance have I, in all this crowd,
To know the silent, or the loud?
To share a laugh, to shed a tear,
To hold a friend, to face a fear?

The dancer on a distant shore,
The singer whose song I’ll hear no more.
The painter with colors bright and bold,
The writer whose tales remain untold.

We brush like whispers in the night,
A fleeting glimpse, then out of sight.
Yet in this vast and endless sea,
Who will become a part of me?

In every stranger, there’s a chance,
A shared glance, a circumstance.
A bond that forms, a thread that weaves,
Through life's fabric, tangled leaves.

For though I’ll meet but a few,
Each one, a universe anew.
A world within, a story shared,
A spark that shows someone cared.

So as I walk this crowded place,
I’ll treasure every known face.
For in a world of eight billion hearts,
Each meeting is where connection starts.
