The first online live performance / March 30th, 2020

While the world living in voluntary quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, Shintaro Tanaka in New York thought about what he could do to help the music industry which had come to a standstill.

March 27, 2020, Shintaro had asked 3 Japanese professional musicians, Tomoya Ogawa (NY-based, Gt.), Aya Ishida (NY-based, Vo.) and Ko Tanaka (Boston, now NY-based, Pf.), who didn't know each other, and did thair own projects before the pandemic to form a jazz trio to try to perform from three different places online.

The trio had their first live performance on March 30, three days after formed, and played six live shows online so far, experimenting with the difficult task of playing simultaneously online.

Ko moved to New York at the beginning of August, and the day after his arrival, the trio met for the first time in real life.

On August 26, about five months after they had introduced each other online, the trio had their first real life session at a music studio near Times Square.

Now the Trio plan to continue to release original songs through live streaming and performances.
