I explained to them that Ishimori Productions is a for-profit company and that they would have to pay a licensing fee,
“I see. In that case, there is no budget, so we will pay out of the pocket money of the members," he said.

I felt sorry for them and asked, "Can you think of anything that would benefit our company?" I asked them.
“The media will be there, so I'm sure there will be a story about it",
So we agreed to let them paint Cyborg 009 on two rescue planes for free.

On the day of the ceremony, I believe it was very hot in August, and the president and I were sweaty as we attended. We were also able to attend the party afterward and greet the commander-in-chief of the Self-Defense Air Rescue Team who came from Tokyo.

Since the vivid painting of Cyborg 009 on the rescue planes was reported in newspapers and on the web, we felt that the free-of-charge offer was a good thing.

What a destiny!
The rescue planes of the Matsushima Air Rescue Team were swept away by the tsunami, and none of them were able to take off.

A spokesperson for the Matsushima Air Rescue Team, who was responding on TV, shed tears.

The tsunami also hit Ishinomaki City and the Ishinomori Manga Museum.

We then received information that the home of the then director of the Ishinomori Manga Museum had also been hit by the disaster and he and his wife were left alone on the second floor.

So I called the General Officer Commanding, whom I had met at the commemoration ceremony the previous summer, and spoke to him directly, and he said, "I understand. Please wait a moment." Then, I immediately received a call back from his subordinate and gave him our address and other information.

Of course, we did not ask for special treatment, but at least we told them that there was a couple left behind at that address.

We later confirmed that both of them were safe, but we do not know if this was due to instructions from the Commander-in-Chief.

I just feel that it was a mysterious connection that Cyborg 009 made.
