Aquila Church's vision is to
"produce" and "support"
a "modern Paul"
like Aquila and Priscilla.

The first salvation at Aquila church!

The person we have been praying for a long time has finally been saved! We were able to pray together accepting Christ! We are so happy!
It was truly a blessing to be able to share in his journey from the beginning when he was rejecting, and gradually becoming interested in the Bible, beginning to think about God's existence, beginning to pray, and experiencing God.
We will continue to study together on a regular basis - and will spend time each week apart from church time!
We really appreciate your prayers!

Special Friday at Aquila Church with many customers. Usually we have around 10 people

Texas SOZO Church

We visited to our partner church in America, SOZO Church! We had an amazing trip! Thank you so much for praying for us!

With Sozo Church lead pastor couple

It was just an amazing favor!

With the weak yen and our economic situation, it was really unrealistic for us to go to the US. However, SOZO Church paid all of our travel and accommodation expenses and we were able to attend the conference.
We have had two weeks of receiving huge blessings!
We bought a sandwich at the airport kiosk for about 2,000 Japanese yen. We were just so grateful that we were allowed to go to the U.S. in such an economic climate.

"Let's change the world together!"

One day, Pastor Joel, the pastor of SOZO Church, invited Takeshi to the church office, where he also got to meet Pastor Freddy of SOZO Church's partner church from Burundi, Africa!
As soon as we sat down in his office, Pastor Joel said, "Let's change the world together! and started the meeting.
We were really impressed by his big heart and his personality, as we had already been sent a team and received all kinds of wisdom and financial support from SOZO Church before we asked for it, and yet he was naturally treated as an equal.
Takeshi asked, "As a church in Japan, how can we help?" Pastor Joel replied, "It is a great help to receive from us," which was another moment when his deep personality appeared.
On a different day, we were given the opportunity to spend time with his wife as well and were impressed by their wisdom and faithfulness to God. And we felt a great sense of peace from them!

The passion for Japan

Before the Sozo church conference, they made time for us to talk about the situation at Aquila Church and what is happening in Japan.
Takeshi was able to speak somehow, although Justin had to translate for him from time to time. Thank you so much for praying for Takeshi!
After the presentation they prayed for Africa and Japan.
The response to our presentation time was even greater than we had imagined, and several people came up to us after the meeting and asked if they could have a meal with us to hear more about Aquila church and Japan!
So, during our stay in Texas, we met with them almost every meal. That is how interested they were in Japan.

It was a real blessing to spend time outside of church gatherings, eating meals and learning more about the culture and DNA that SOZO Church has as a church. Interestingly, I often felt like a friend who has known each other for a long time, and it was truly amazing to be a part of God's family.

And, people I met said to me, "I'm going to help you in Japan! We were greatly encouraged by the fact that they really have a passion for Japan.

We were able to attend the baptism!

Sozo church mission team is coming! (6/16~24)

This time there are 10 people in total! They are going to stay at our house. (LOL)

So far, we are planning to,
have a barbecue event at Aquila Church on Friday 6/21,
support the children's ministry at Ueda Bible Church on Saturday 6/22,
and a worship meeting in the afternoon on Sunday 6/23.

Other than that, we will be going to street ministry, prayer walks, vegetable garden ministry, or whatever else we decide to do as we pray. Please pray that we will be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit all the time!

Please support for a van purchase

As we mentioned in our last "need list", we are in need of a van that can hold 7-8 people to transport the mission team, the upcoming ministry of hi-b.a., and to pick up and drop off people coming to our church.
In fact, I talked to SOZO Church and they are willing to support us with $1000 for the purchase of the van. We are super thankful!!
And the mission team is also willing to make a van purchase donation. So we are really thinking about buying a van!
We are a little nervous when we think about the cost of maintaining the van, etc., but we will trust that God will meet our needs!

So, if any of you reading this are led, we would appreciate your financial support for the purchase of the van! We will use the van for Japan mission and church planting, so we would appreciate your prayer and consideration.

You can donate in the following link.
