醒ヶ井の梅花藻 ~Photo~Baikamo (common water-crowfoot) at Samegai in Shiga prefecture
滋賀県醒ヶ井の梅花藻の写真です。小さな白い梅に似た花で開花は5月中頃から9月末まで。7月下旬～8月が見頃。
JR米原駅のお隣、醒ヶ井駅から徒歩5分の旧中山道醒井宿を流れる地蔵川の中に生育しています♪
A member of the buttercup family, Common water-crowfoot displays white, buttercup-like flowers with yellow centres. It can form mats in ponds, ditches and streams during spring and summer.
Jizo river in Samegai in Shiga prefecture, with its stable water temp at 14 degree year around, is a home of the water plant.
京都駅や名古屋駅から1時間ちょっと。A little over one hour from either Kyoto or Nagoya station by JR train or one station from Maibara station where shinkansen train stops.
