Skyland Ventures Expand Bitcoin Ecosystem in Japan

The venture capital fund Skyland Ventures (Headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo; Partner & CEO: Yoshihiko Kinoshita, hereinafter referred to as SV) primarily focuses on seed startup investments. Organized a “CryptoLand meetup,” attracting about 60 participants and having the session of the Bitcoin ecosystem for expanding its ecosystem in Japan.

Background:
Although Bitcoin holds significant value as a currency, it has been noted to have less utility beyond that, especially when compared to Ethereum. However, technologies allowing the inscription of symbols onto BTC blocks, such as inscriptions and BRC, are emerging, expanding the Bitcoin ecosystem daily. Skyland Ventures believes in further development of the Bitcoin ecosystem and has invested in Bitmap Tech, which develops projects like BitMap and Merlin Chain, in January 2024.

CryptoLand Meetup:
CryptoLand is a Web3 community in Japan operated by Skyland Ventures. It conducts study groups for developers and Web3 users, relations with overseas projects, and incubation aimed at creating new entrepreneurs.
A study meetup for Web3 users was organized to further expand the Bitcoin ecosystem, with approximately 60 attendees. Speakers included Hayatthi (@hayattiQ), a leading crypto enthusiast in Japan, and Tetora (@tetora_bitmap), an early participant in Bitmap. Skyland Ventures plans to contribute to the increase in Japanese users by introducing overseas projects and holding regular study sessions aimed at expanding the Bitcoin ecosystem.
