Situation in Ukraine
It has been 765 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 820 soldiers
8 tanks
27 armored combat vehicles
28 artillery pieces
2 multiple rocket launchers
6 air defense systems
56 drones
5 cruise missiles
57 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 60 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.6,
compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side!
The losses on the Russian side are dominated by infantry fighting vehicles,
tanks and military trucks,
while on the Ukrainian side SUVs are prominent.
This is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.

1.
We reported in yesterday's video that President Vladimir Putin had taken a swipe at prosecutors regarding the shooting incident in Moscow's Crocus,
and the story quickly turned out to be true.
According to Ria Novosti,
the initial investigation found records of money transfers to Ukraine on a seized smartphone,
which investigators say is evidence of ties to Ukrainian nationalists.
On the other hand,
White House coordinator Kirby dismissed the announcement as "absurd and propaganda.
Belarusian media reports on the background of the incident claim that the incident has changed the power structure in the Kremlin and that the hard-line Patrushev faction has scored points.
In fact,
they say,
it coincides with the reintroduction of the death penalty in Russia,
the resignation of Peskov's press secretary,
the hard-line stance of the Russian ambassador to Poland,
and the use of a Zircon missile.
Pravda then explained this background with the story of Boudanov,
director of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate,
who said that the Kremlin learned of the planned raid in Moscow last month,
and that the radicals,
thinking they could use the operation in a power struggle to oust several senior officials,
allowed it to go ahead,
obtained detailed information,
and had FSB officers present at the scene.
2.
Russian military plane shot down and crashed by Russian military
A Russian Su-27 crashed near the coast of Sevastopol on the Crimean Peninsula at around 6 p.m. after Russian air defenses were triggered,
and some sources say it was a Su-35.
Video footage captured the moment the burning aircraft went into a flat spin and plunged into the sea.
The pilot ejected from the plane.
Third.
The Wall Street Journal analyzed that the war in Ukraine has caused Russia to spend $300 million a day and that "funds are drying up.
The Kremlin has only $20 billion left to spend from the Russian National Welfare Fund,
a pool of oil revenues on which President Putin relies.
Medusa also reported that two people,
including one representing the United Russia party,
told us that "President Putin intends to reduce the war by occupying either Kharkov or Kyiv."
And in an exclusive interview with CBS,
President Zelensky said,
"Russia may launch a new offensive in Ukraine in late May or June.
Is this the peak of Russia's ability to continue the war this year?
4th.
As reported in an earlier video,
the Kuybyshev refinery in Rosnefti was shut down last Saturday after a Ukrainian drone attack.
The Kuybyshev refinery in Samara accounts for 14% of Russia's total primary refining capacity.
As a result,
Russia,
an oil-producing country,
has also had to import gasoline from Belarus due to reduced production capacity.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern part,
towards Bakhmut
This section reports on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Harkiv and Kupyansk to the Svatove-Kreminna line,
and from the Siversk area to Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians attacked 5 times from Terny to Sibersk and 4 times in the area of Bakhmut.
Bakhmut area
Russian troops have launched an offensive to capture Chashivyar.
A spokesman for the 80th Drone Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
Sosanska,
described the situation in this sector,
saying that the enemy is trying to break through the front line with motorcycles in addition to ATVs,
and that the situation remains difficult but under control,
and that Russian forces are trying to advance.
Another commander reported that the situation is becoming difficult due to air strikes with glide bombs and lack of manpower.
1.
Pro-Russian social networking sites claimed that the Russians were only 500 meters from the town of Canal,
an outpost.
Meanwhile,
positional video footage showed no significant Russian attacks that day,
with only information that a Russian BTR armored vehicle was destroyed by mines and drones at the location indicated on the map,
and that the Russian attack was repelled by Ukrainian forces,
with no information about any changes in the battle map.
2.
In Ivanivske,
units of the Russian 98th Airborne Division are attacking the front lines,
but from the position of the Russian artillery fire,
the Ukrainian army is defending on the south-western side of Zarichina Street and route T0504,
and there is no change in the battle map here either.
The war situation in this direction is stable for now,
but according to the Institute for the Study of War,
the possibility of a breakthrough increases if the Russians concentrate their forces,
and the situation remains unsettled.
Southeast Donetsk region
The weather in Avdiivka is sunny.
Minimum temperature is 6 degrees Celsius,
maximum temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather is expected to be windy and rainy.
The weather today is expected to be windy and rainy with a high of 16 degrees.
Here is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
In this sector the Russians have carried out 14 attacks.
Zorin,
deputy commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
appeared on TV every day and said: "The enemy forces have replenished their ranks and brought in new units,
they have started using armored vehicles and tanks,
they have increased their offensive power and are attacking Berdych and Semenivka,
but so far their attacks have failed".
1.
In Berdici,
the position video shows two Russian BMPs and a tank advancing to the location shown on the map,
firing,
then paratroopers dismount and deploy,
and the vehicles retreat,
confirming that this location has become the front line.
The images shown are from the Russian side and are from the location shown on the map.
Therefore,
we have updated the battle map to show that the Russians occupied the area up to the point where this vehicle advanced.
2.
In Orlivka,
the Russians attacked with tanks and armored vehicles in the direction of Semenivka,
but before entering Semenivka,
the Russians were repulsed by a Ukrainian drone attack south of Orlivka,
with the loss of T80 tanks and reconnaissance vehicles.
What we are showing you is the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and the location shown on the map of Orlivka.
There are no changes in the battle map.
In the other axes of attack in Pervomaiske and Neveleske,
the Russian attack was also on the decline,
and the attack was repelled by the Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
The Marinka Sector
In this sector Russian troops made 27 attacks from Krasnohorivka to Novomihailivka.
In this sector,
Ukrainian officer Voronov said in an interview,
"Enemy attacks usually come in three BMPs,
and when two of them are destroyed,
the remaining one retreats.
Sometimes the enemy attacks with two soldiers at a time,
trying to slip through our positions," he said,
noting that in addition to vehicle attacks,
they also use the tactic of attacks by groups of infantrymen.
The Ukrainian side apparently had information control over Novomihailivka,
where the ground fighting is concentrated,
and in the earlier interview with Officer Voronov he did not mention Novomihailivka,
but reported that "there are other towns that are under attack by Russian forces.
Meanwhile,
judging by the positional video that emerged today,
Ukrainian forces repelled Russian T80s at the location shown on the map,
attacked Russian forces with drone and artillery fire west of the post office,
and Russian forces launched an attack on Chmilyazheva School Street south of the city,
but Ukrainian forces used cluster artillery shells on Russian shelling of the troops,
and the Russians lost 20 infantrymen,
tanks,
and BMPs,
indicating that the Russians have advanced so far.
What I am showing you is a tactical assessment of the Ukrainian side,
which is the Chmilyazheva School Street shown on the map.
Therefore,
we have updated the battle map,
assuming that the Russians have occupied as far west as the post office.
Drawing a small map to illustrate,
it is believed that the Russians are aiming to control the O0532 line,
which is the supply line to Vuhledar,
while the Ukrainian army is in the rear of the Ukrainian army in a series of towns such as Paraskovyivka,
Kostianchnivka,
and Antonivka,
with the Ukrainian army falling back in the urban battle for the time being. The Ukrainian Army is expected to reduce the strength of the Russian Army while retreating in urban combat for the time being.
Southern Province of Zaporizhia
Southern Kherson Province
In this area,
the Russians attacked Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne four times,
and Krinky once,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile,
along the Dnipro River,
the exact location is unknown,
but there are reports that when the Russians tried to lay mines with boats,
they came into contact with mines previously laid by the Russians and the mines exploded.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
