Situation in Ukraine
It has been 793 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
general things.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 950 soldiers
7 tanks
15 armored combat vehicles
31 cannons
12 drones
1 cruise missile
51 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 104 ground attacks in one day.
Russian forces are continuing their offensive operations,
concentrating their forces in key areas where the occupation can be targeted,
and have recorded losses of more than 1,000 soldiers.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian troops,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 8.0,
which is eight times the number of losses on the Russian side compared to the Ukrainian side.
The losses on the Russian side are mostly infantry fighting vehicles and tanks,
while on the Ukrainian side artillery is somewhat more prominent.
Here is a short news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch it if you wish.
1.
Politico reports that two U.S.
officials say the U.S.
is planning a $6 billion military aid package,
its largest ever,
and could announce it as early as Friday.
The package will include Patriot ammunition,
artillery shells,
drones,
drone weapons and air-to-air missiles for F-16s,
according to the report.
However,
some of the items will be ordered in the future,
and some may take several years to arrive in Ukraine,
according to the report.
Second.
Russian propaganda activist Skabayeva is furious after criticizing former President Trump on the Russian talk show "60 Minutes."
Many in Russia believed that former President Trump would certainly intervene in the vote on the military aid bill for Ukraine,
and the show was disappointed with the outcome and shocked and criticized former President Trump for not acting on Russia's behalf.
Third.
Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) reportedly destroyed Russia's latest 9K37 Buk M1 anti-aircraft missiles,
worth $100 million ($15 billion) each.
The date,
time and location are unknown in the video,
but the SSO said with video that the Buk M1,
which was being prepared for launch,
was destroyed without firing a single missile.
The Buk M1 is a medium-range air defense system designed to destroy aircraft,
cruise missiles,
helicopters and other flying objects,
and is reportedly capable of shooting down targets at a range of 50 km and flying at Mach 4.
If the catalog is correct,
it is also capable of destroying U.S.
HIMARS missiles and ATACMS.
According to the SSO,
"the missile was spotted during a reconnaissance mission in an area of active Russian military activity,
and the coordinates were relayed to a missile artillery unit,
which destroyed the enemy without firing a missile".
4.
In our video of the 24th of this month,
we reported on the news that a man was sentenced to five years in prison for saying something critical of the government in a street corner interview,
and that Russia's First Eastern Regional Military Court sentenced a 19-year-old girl who wrote "Death to the regime" graffiti to five years in prison for "incitement to extremism and terrorism" in addition to "graffiti" and "vandalism motivated by political hostility" in addition to "graffiti," and sentenced her to three and a half years in prison.
The high school student was arrested by the FSB,
Russia's Federal Security Service,
for graffiti in October 2022 and sent to a detention center as a precautionary measure before her trial.
Russia is cracking down hard on the anti-war movement,
with sentences for vandalism under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation increasing 12-fold over the previous year,
and for treason under Article 275 increasing 2.5-fold,
with all charges resulting in convictions.
Human rights activists tell us that these articles are being used to crack down on the anti-war movement.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date in a large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern Bakhmut
This section covers the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to the area of Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians made one attack near Berestove and 25 attacks around Sibersk and in the direction of Bakhmut.
Around Sibersk
In this sector the Russians attacked at Bilohorivka,
Verkhonokamyanske,
Spirne and Vimka,
but the Ukrainian army repulsed them,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
ChasivYar area
The Russians concentrated their forces in the ChasivYar area,
with the number of Russian troops ranging from 5 to 7 to the Ukrainian army's 1.
In this area,
the Russians shelled the town of Canal and conducted a small offensive near ChasivYar,
both of which were defended by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
Ukrainian military advisors said that the Russians seem to understand that they must capture Ivanivske and Klishchiivka before attacking ChasivYar,
or they will endanger their own forces.
1.
As we reported earlier,
the Russians attacked ChasivYar from several directions,
all unsuccessfully.
The Russian 98th Airborne Division attempted to establish a position in the forests of ChasivYar,
and then made several attacks from the east and southeast of Kanal,
all of which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
Also in Ivanivske,
the Russian 150th Motorized Rifle Division made several attacks on Ukrainian positions on the outskirts to the south and west of the city,
which were also repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
It is certain that the Russians will launch an offensive on ChasivYar in the future,
but is it because the Ukrainian army controls the high ground,
which is advantageous to them,
according to interviews and other information?
They seem confident of defending Chashivyar.
2.
The Russians also attacked in the wooded area north of Klishchiivka shown on the map,
but were hit by Ukrainian drone fire and withdrew with the loss of two T72 tanks and two BMP infantry fighting vehicles.
The battle map remains unchanged.
South-east Donetsk region.
The weather in Avdiivka is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 25 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is cloudy.
Here is the current situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
The Russians have carried out 27 attacks in this area.
In the settlement of Ocheretine,
which has been the focus of daily activity,
the expansion of the Russian occupation has been halted,
but the Russians are changing the direction of their attacks and advancing.
As reported by Forbes,
the Ukrainian forces defending Ocheretiye were absolutely outnumbered,
and as reported in yesterday's video,
the 47th Mechanized Brigade was suddenly assigned to defend the area,
but there were empty positions that allowed the Russian forces to advance.
The 100th Mechanized Brigade,
which was inferior in equipment,
was ordered to counterattack and defend the settlement of Ocheretine,
which it did,
stopping the advance of the Russian 30th Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 41st Allied Forces,
which were attacking the settlement.
However,
the Russians advanced with a new division to the southern outskirts of Ocheretine,
increasing their occupation of the area.
1.
Position video shows Russian forces advancing on the southern outskirts of Ocheretine,
capturing at least the eastern half of the settlement of Soloviove.
The image shown is from the Russian side,
which is shown flagging and claiming the occupation at the location indicated on the map.
On the other hand,
given the position of the Russian artillery fire,
the Ukrainian forces are resisting on the western side of Soloviove,
and the battle map has been updated to show the Russian occupation of half of the town.
2.
Also,
from Berdych to Semenivka,
as we reported yesterday,
Ukrainian troops are using drones to crush Russian troops in the basements of individual buildings one by one,
so we have updated the battle map to show that Russian troops have occupied up to the O0542 road that runs through this area,
and Berdych and Semenivka are now marked in red The Russian forces have now taken the O0542 line through this area.
Marinka area
Vuhledar area
The Russians have made 21 attacks in this sector.
1.
According to several sources,
the Russians then carried out air strikes on residential areas south of the railway line,
and then attacked again,
reoccupying some areas.
The battle map has been updated to show the area occupied by Russian forces from the contested area.
Second.
The Russians also built Turtle Tank No.
3 and moved forward in columns,
successfully advancing north of the railroad tracks and up to the factory shown on the map.
What we are showing you is the Russian army advancing at the location indicated on the map.
3rd.
Russian soldiers then entered the building directly in front of the factory and raised a flag claiming occupation.
The Russian troops are shown waving the flag in the three-story building shown on the map.
We have updated the combat map to show this area as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory.
Southern Zaporizhia Province
Southern Kherson Province
In this sector,
the Russians attacked Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne five times,
and Krinky three times.
In Urozyne,
Russian troops advanced,
according to video footage of the position.
Russian troops advanced from the south with daily airstrikes on Urozyne,
and Ukrainian troops responded with drones and artillery fire on the location mapped by the Ukrainian military.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Russians have reoccupied the area,
which was retaken by Ukrainian forces in a reverse offensive last August.
Otherwise,
the Russian offensive was repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
and there have been no other changes to the battle map.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
