Situation in Ukraine
It has been 835 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1080 soldiers
6 tanks
20 armored fighting vehicles
64 guns
2 air defense systems
40 drones
1 ship
64 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 85 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 2.8 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Russian losses were mostly tanks,
infantry fighting vehicles,
and civilian vans known as loafers,
while on the Ukrainian side,
SUVs were conspicuous.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you use the full screen on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
It has been 27 days since the Russians invaded along the border in Harkiv.
The weather in Harkiv is rainy.
Minimum temperature 17 degrees Celsius,
maximum temperature 26 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is cloudy.
Russian troops have made 5 attacks in this area,
3 have been repulsed by Ukrainian troops and 2 are still fighting.
Vovtyansk
There are several reports that Ukrainian forces are counterattacking in this area and that Russian troops are being pushed into the area,
although the location is unknown.
First,
according to a Russian military blogger,
the 36th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Army has been deployed in Vovtyansk and is counter-attacking Russian troops,
forcing them to withdraw.
The brigade has released a video of the interrogation of captured Russian soldiers.
Another Russian military blogger reported that the Russian Army's 1009th Automated Rifle Regiment has lost 90% of its troops and is withdrawing from Vovtyansk.
In addition,
Ukrainian border guards are reported to have captured a Russian soldier who was left for 21 days by his allies,
indicating that the Ukrainian military is fighting back.
Meanwhile,
the Russian military has also deployed the 155th Marine Brigade in an attempt to break the war.
This unit has been deployed to Novomihailivka,
Vuhledar,
and other battlegrounds,
and has already suffered three defeats in which nearly all of its troops were neutralized.
So far,
no changes have been made to the battle map.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
East,
toward ChasivYar
The following is a report on the war situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
The Russians attacked 12 times in Kupyansk,
2 times on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
6 times around Sivelsk,
and 11 times around ChasivYar.
Kupyansk area
From Ivanivka to Stepovanovoselivka,
Russian troops attacked and advanced,
according to video footage with positioning information.
The Russians attacked with small mechanized units on two axes of attack,
north and south of the pond,
each advancing to the locations indicated on the map,
and were repulsed.
The image shown here is part of the southern axis of attack,
where a Russian armored vehicle was damaged when it stepped on a landmine dropped by a drone,
and the soldiers fled.
Ivanivka had been partially recaptured by Ukrainian forces,
but it turned out that most of the area was occupied by Russian forces,
so this rear was changed from disputed to Russian,
and Ivanivka was also changed from blue to red,
indicating Russian-occupied territory.
The area is about 2.2 square kilometers.
The Russians began their attack on Ivanivka from Yahidne at the beginning of December last year,
so it took them about six months to occupy one settlement.
Around Sibersk
In Bilohorivka,
Russian assault troops may have made a slight advance.
According to the located video,
the Russians launched their attack from the sewage treatment plant in Bilohorivka,
and after the BMP1 infantry fighting vehicle was destroyed,
the soldiers who appeared spread out and took up positions,
which were then handled one by one by Ukrainian military drones.
What you are seeing is a view of the location shown on the map,
but the whole thing is posted on the telegram because it will be detrimental to the healthy development of children watching YouTube if it gets burned into their eyes once they go go googling.
There are no changes to the battle map here.
Second.
Along the railroad tracks south of Vimka,
Ukrainian troops counterattacked.
According to the positional video,
Russian troops are bombing and shelling the area indicated on the map,
which confirms the presence of Ukrainian troops at this location.
This is where the Russians advanced 1.8 kilometers over a five-month period beginning last December,
and we have updated the battle map from Russian-occupied to disputed territory.
ChasivYar sector.
In this sector,
Russian forces have conducted new operations and may have advanced in Canal.
1st.
In Kalinivka,
positional video footage shows Russian troops storming the settlement and taking the first house.
The Russians attacked in small groups,
hiding in hollows in the land,
but visible to Ukrainian drones.
This is the Ukrainian side,
where the drone is observing the Russian troops at the location shown on the map.
The area is about the size of five houses,
but we have updated the battle map from disputed territory and partially Ukrainian-controlled territory to Russian-occupied territory.
Second.
According to the video with location information,
the Russians have successfully entered and established a stronghold in a water pipe in the canal south of Canal,
and a Ukrainian drone is attacking the pipe.
The image you are seeing is of the Ukrainian Army's Black Swan unit and shows the location shown on the map.
The battle of Avdiivka also saw Russian troops enter the city through the sewers,
from which the fortress fell,
so perhaps this time the story will be similar.
For now,
there are no changes to the battle map.
3rd.
East of Klishchiivka,
Russian BMP infantry fighting vehicles appeared at the location shown on the map east of the pond.
What you are seeing is the BMP2 infantry fighting vehicle at the location shown on the map,
which was eventually repulsed,
but you can see that the Russians have penetrated to the west of the railroad tracks.
We have updated the battle map to show this rear as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed area.
4th.
Although not affecting the battle map,
to the east of this area,
a drone attack by Ukrainian forces caused a Russian tank to lose control and was recorded to have physically hit a nearby Russian MTLB armored fighting vehicle and pushed it out of the way.
Other than that,
the Russian attack was repulsed by the Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
The following is a report on the war situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Velikanovosilka.
Avdiivka
The Russians made 23 attacks in various directions in this sector.
1st.
North of Arkhangelske and Ocheretiyne,
where we reported in yesterday's video that there was heavy ground fighting and that the Russians may have advanced,
we have updated the battle map,
which,
according to multiple sources,
indicates that Ukrainian forces have retreated to new positions north of the Arkhangelske pond,
the area of which is occupied by Russian forces from disputed territory.
The map has been updated.
We have also updated the battle map to include the Russian advance on the first house in Novo Oleksandrivka,
a suburb north of Ocheretine.
The area is about 6 square kilometers.
2nd.
On the contrary,
in Sokir,
Ukrainian infantry units are advancing in the area shown on the map,
confirming that this location is the front line of the Ukrainian army.
The video is from the Russian side,
and the Russian side explains that the Ukrainian soldiers are walking away from the ogre commander.
There is no change in the battle map here.
Otherwise,
ground fighting continues in the vicinity of Umanske and Netilove,
but no information was found that would affect the battle map.
Marinka sector
The Russians launched 15 attacks in this sector,
but these attacks were repulsed by the Ukrainian army,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
Velikanovosilka sector
At Urozhayin,
both sides are attacking heavily,
with the Russians firing thermobaric bombs from south of Urozhayin,
followed by the advance of columns of vehicles,
which the Ukrainians respond to with artillery fire.
The image you are seeing is on the Ukrainian side,
where the Tortoise tank at the head of the Russian column was set on fire by Ukrainian artillery fire,
and the subsequent column is about to make a U-turn.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Rear Area
1st.
Ukrainian military drones attacked the largest oil refinery in southern Russia in Rostov and an oil tank in Belgorod,
causing damage.
Of these,
the Novoshavtinsk oil refinery was attacked just two years ago,
and in the latest attack the flames rose to the height of a 15-story building.
Russian media reported that both of the two oil distillation towers were destroyed.
The second
In Banskoye Bay,
northwest of Crimea,
a Ukrainian military water drone attack resulted in the sinking of a Russian Saturn tugboat.
Although this attack may seem unremarkable,
without the tugboats,
large vessels would not be able to dock,
which would have a significant impact on Crimea's resupply.
The video shows that two drones coordinated the attack,
with the first drone destroying a barrier in the bay and the second drone successfully entering the bay through a hole in the barrier.
Southern Province of Zaporizhia
Southern province of Kherson
In this area,
the Russians attacked Robotyne,
Verbove,
and Malatkumatica,
and in the Khrson area,
they attacked Krinky three times.
In Krinky,
the location-based video shows Russian troops advancing north of the Krinka River,
suggesting that the Russians may have made a small advance.
What you are seeing is a Russian soldier falling from a bridge and attempting to swim across the river at the location shown on the map.
The battle map has not changed since the incident took place in the disputed territory.
This is a brief report of selected news about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.
1st.
I know this has been in the news in various places,
but President Macron announced in a speech on French TV that he will provide the Mirage 2000 to Ukraine by the end of the year,
and that training for pilots will begin tomorrow.
The Mirage 2000 is France's mainstay fighter aircraft,
which has been in operation since 1984,
and has been deployed in numerous conflicts,
including the Gulf War.
It is classified as a fourth-generation fighter,
like the F-16,
and 315 aircraft were deployed in France before being retired in 2022.
The aircraft being offered this time is a modernized version for export,
and the number of aircraft offered is unknown,
but in March last year,
a French military information website reported that France was purchasing 40 aircraft from other countries and offering them to Ukraine.
Second.
The Japanese Embassy in Ukraine reported that the Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces have delivered a total of 101 Morooka PC065B engineering vehicles and Toyota HMV off-road vehicles.
3rd.
Ukrainian FPV Drone sold drone advertising space.
In the video,
the drone can be seen flying with a piece of paper attached that reads gYour ad can be placed here.
4th.
Russian propaganda program g60 Minutesh reported that the Harkiv invasion was a failure.
The program noted that Ukraine was using Western weapons to attack Russian territory and said,
gAttempts to demilitarize Ukraine have had the opposite result.
Now Belgorod,
Valki,
Volokonovka,
and Urazovo are targets of HIMARS attacks.
Today it is HIMARS attacking,
tomorrow it will be GLSDB,
the day after tomorrow ATACMS,
and in the summer F16 will attack.
If Russia wins,
new weapons will appear one after another.
At first only helmets were provided,
but then anti-tank missiles,
artillery,
tanks,
Patriots,
and so on.
He said that every new thing Putin's government does in the war in Ukraine makes Russia's own situation worse.
That's all for today.
