Situation in Ukraine
It has been 773 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
general things.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were
790 soldiers
24 tanks
38 armored combat vehicles
41 cannons
3 multiple rocket launchers
2 air defense systems
48 drones
1 cruise missile
75 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 57 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 3.4 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
The Russian losses were mostly infantry fighting vehicles,
military trucks and tanks,
and the Russian side is conducting aggressive offensive operations with vehicles.
On the other hand,
there is no particular trend on the Ukrainian side.
Here is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to see where you need to go.
First.
As we reported in part at the beginning of yesterday's video,
a Ukrainian military drone strike caused extensive damage to Russian military aircraft.
According to Ukrainian Defense Ministry officials,
a massive drone attack on three military airfields in Engels,
Eisk,
and Morozovsk on the evening of the 5th destroyed or damaged about 20 aircraft,
including strategic bombers,
and neutralized dozens of servicemen.
These aircraft fired Kh101,
Kh555 and other cruise missiles into Ukraine.
At least three to six Tu-95 Bear strategic bombers were severely damaged,
killing seven Russian servicemen,
including the pilots,
at the Engels air base,
700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The base,
Russia's largest,
was also attacked on February 3.
Also,
at a military airfield in Eisk,
150 kilometers from the border,
30 planes were believed to be parked at the time of the attack,
including a Su-25 Frogfoot that caught fire,
killing four Russian soldiers.
And at Morozovsk,
300 kilometers from the border,
29 aircraft were stationed at the time of the attack,
of which six Russian Su34s and other bombers were destroyed and another eight seriously damaged.
The attack is believed to have involved dozens of drones at each of the airfields,
and incidentally,
the Russian Defense Ministry says it shot down 53 Ukrainian drones in five different areas.
Second.
The drone that attacked an oil refinery and Shahed manufacturing plant in Tatarstan,
1,200 kilometers from Ukraine,
on Tuesday was identified as an Aeroplakt A22,
a small,
lightweight,
propeller-driven aircraft equipped with an autopilot and explosives,
according to Forbes.
The A22 is a two-seater aircraft of Ukrainian domestic production,
priced at $90,000,
and can be privately owned,
making it suitable for hobbyists to enjoy a fun aerial walk around the airfield.
Simple and reliable,
it is sold all over the world and is the best-selling small propeller aircraft.
Compared to the Storm Shadow,
it is only one-third as fast,
with a top speed of 200 km/h,
but has three times the cataloged range of 1,000 km,
at one-thirtieth the price per launch.
In response to such attacks,
former Duma deputy Viktor Arksnis,
a Russian patriot,
said that "more drone attacks on Russia in the future could endanger Russia's air defenses.
Third.
Bild's Telegram reported that Ukraine has developed a drone with a range of over 3,000 kilometers and will soon put it into service.
If this is true,
it would have a range that would include the Urals and the Arctic Circle,
where it has been unable to strike,
and would be able to strike directly at Russian oil field installations.
According to Ukrainian military officials,
"missiles are the past,
drones are the future.
Now here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation is changing.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern Bakhmut
This section covers the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to the area of Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians attacked four times near Terny and 30 times in the direction of Bakhmut.
Svatove-Kreminna line
At Terny the Russians attacked in columns,
but the 95th Air Assault Brigade,
the 60th Mechanized Brigade and the 1st Presidential Guard Brigade repulsed them 1.5 km from the front line.
The image shown is from the Ukrainian side and is part of a sequence of destruction by artillery and drone fire triggered by the Russian convoy coming to a halt.
The Russian repulsed positions are retreating slightly,
but for now there is no change in the battle map.
Around ChasivYar
In Canal,
ChasivYar's outpost,
the Russians have launched airstrikes and artillery bombardments to destroy buildings in order to capture the city center.
You can see that the Russians are shelling the first five-story apartment building east of the town of Kanal.
What we are showing you is the Russian side and the location shown on the map.
The Russian army attacked the city of Kanal with 32 tanks and armored vehicles,
but the 67th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army destroyed 19 vehicles,
and at the same time Russian aircraft carried out air strikes,
which damaged their convoys,
making it impossible to continue the attack,
and they were repulsed.
The attack could not continue and was repulsed.
There is no change in the battle map at the moment,
but there is a strong possibility that the Russians will start an urban warfare against this channel.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast
The weather in Avdiivka is sunny.
The minimum temperature is 5 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 13 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is cloudy with occasional showers.
Sunny days will continue for a while.
Here is an update on the situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
Russian troops have made two attacks in this area.
The first was in Semenivka.
In Semenivka,
the Russians advanced by going from house to house,
with a small advance by assault troops who managed to avoid artillery fire.
The image shown here is from the Ukrainian side and shows the location as indicated on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show this area as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory.
2.
The main thrust of the Russian offensive may have shifted south of Umaniske.
The Russians have been advancing mechanized units in this area every day,
and on this day they withdrew with the loss of five vehicles.
This area is a delta between rivers,
flat and with a good view,
and the terrain is unfavorable for the attackers,
but this does not seem to matter to the Russians.
What you see here are Russian vehicles that have been destroyed or abandoned on the plain.
The battle map is unchanged.
The Russian military has been actively deploying vehicles lately,
and the British International Institute for Strategic Studies and others have published analyses showing that the Russian military can maintain its pace of losing 3,000 vehicles a year for another two to three years by moving vehicles from storage to a level where soldiers can move.
There does not appear to be any concern about depletion of vehicles in the foreseeable future at the level of being able to move them.
Third.
North of Pervomaiske,
according to the found video,
Ukrainian forces counterattacked in an attempt to stop the Russian advance,
but the Russians effectively used their drones to repel the Ukrainians and advance.
What we are showing you is the Russian side,
which is the area near the forest shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show this location as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed area.
Marinka Area
In this area,
the Russians carried out more than 20 attacks,
centered on Novomihailivka.
Novomihailivka,
the focal point of these attacks,
was attacked by both sides.
As a result,
the Russians lost vehicles near the agricultural facilities north of the town and in the southwestern suburbs,
while the Ukrainians lost vehicles in the center of the town and in the southwestern suburbs of the town,
There were losses on both sides and no information that changed the battle map.
BBBBB
Rear areas
In the far eastern city of Khabarovsk,
radiation levels spiked near a metal warehouse in an industrial area,
with dosimeters measuring up to 800 microsieverts,
or 1,600 times the Russian safety standard.
Russian authorities have declared a state of emergency,
cordoned off the area and are trying to identify the substance that caused the accident.
BBBB
Southern Zaporizhia Province
South,
Kherson province.
In this direction there were four attacks in Staromaiorsk and Robotyne,
and five attacks by Russian forces in Krinky,
all of which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
Other.
The Guardian reported that former President Trump's Trump Media Inc.
received financial backing from a Russian-American businessman before going public.
Trump Media,
as the name suggests,
is a consolidation of several companies founded by former President Trump and was listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange last week.
According to the article,
Trump Media received a loan from an organization called ES Family Trust through Baxam Bank in the Dominican Republic after an investigation by U.S.
regulators delayed its IPO and caused it to run out of cash.
The article states that the FBI says ES Family Trust and Baksam Bank are Russian-American shell companies named Anton Postolnikov,
who is known for providing financial services to the adult sex industry.
Trump Media received funding in exchange for $8 million
in convertible bonds between December 2021 and February 2022,
and now the value of the convertible bonds has skyrocketed due to Trump Media's IPO,
and if converted to stock and sold,
the value would be $20 million to $40 million.
That's all for today.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
