Situation in Ukraine
It has been 815 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you use the full screen view on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
It has been eight days since the Russians invaded along the border in Harkiv.
The weather in Harkiv is rainy.
Minimum temperature 8 degrees Celsius,
maximum 16 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today also calls for rain.
Russian troops have made 18 attacks in this sector,
but the advance seems to have almost come to a halt.
The Washington Post interviewed a soldier on the front lines who said that the intense electronic warfare by the Russians at the beginning of the invasion had disrupted operations as drones were disabled and Starlink could not connect,
leaving only telephone and radio communication between units,
suggesting that the Russians had deployed new electronic warfare equipment. The Russian military suggested that it had deployed new electronic warfare equipment.
Liptsi area
Russian troops are trying to advance in small groups,
hiding in the forest.
1st.
In the direction of Liptsi,
the attack is on two axes of attack,
one in the settlement of Hlyboke and the other south of Lukyantsi,
which has halted the advance of the Russian troops.
Russian military bloggers reported that in the plains the advance is being blocked by Ukrainian minefields,
while Ukrainian military journalists reported that Russian troops are advancing through the forested area in small groups of company-sized units.
The commander of the Ukrainian army's large 92nd assault brigade also told Ukrainian media,
"Heavy fighting has been going on for 24 hours,
and the enemy is trying to use light armored vehicles in addition to infantry.
He noted that the Russian forces on the attacker's side have suffered heavy losses that have rendered them incapable of fighting,
and he expressed the hope that if they can survive the next two months,
they will have a chance to counterattack.
1st.
In Hlyboke,
Russian troops are attacking to the south of the settlement,
but Ukrainian troops are repulsing them,
and there is no change in the Russian-occupied area on the battle map.
On the other hand,
according to the video with location information,
Russian tanks are attacking the location on the map with their tank guns,
which confirms that this location is the front line of the Ukrainian army,
so we have reduced the area of the disputed territory to this point.
2nd.
On the main road into Liptsi,
the Ukrainian troops counterattacked and managed to push the Russian troops back.
Russian drones are attacking Ukrainian troops at the location on the map,
confirming that Ukrainian troops are in control of this location.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Ukrainian forces have retaken that area from the Russian occupation.
3rd.
Conversely,
Russian troops are advancing in small groups through the forests of the Lipets River and are being repulsed one after the other at the entrance to the urban area under heavy drone and artillery fire from Ukrainian troops.
The image shown is of the 13th Border Guard Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and is the front line as shown on the map.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Towards Bovtyansk
1st.
In Staricha,
10 km west of Bovtyansk,
multiple roads leading east and west are used as a line of defense to block the advance of the Russian army.
What we are showing you is the location shown on the map where the Ukrainian army is waiting for the Russian army,
indicating that this is the front line of the Ukrainian army.
In the battle map,
we have reduced the extent of the disputed territory to this point.
2nd.
On the Buhruvatka axis of attack,
there is no change in the battle situation,
and the Ukrainian army is waiting on the road connecting to the residential area,
where the BMP infantry fighting vehicles that came in were destroyed and the Russian attack was repulsed.
What we are showing you is the POV video of the Ukrainian army's special forces,
and the locations indicated on the map.
There are no changes to the battle map.
3rd.
In the city of Bovtyansk,
as we reported in yesterday's video,
there is an urban battle,
but the Russian troops continue to be repulsed by the Ukrainian army,
with only less-skilled units attempting to enter the town intact and advance.
The Russian Defense Ministry is telling us that they are continuing their offensive operations in the central hospital,
the cemetery,
and the building materials factory in the center of the city.
What we are showing you is a view of Ukrainian military special operations forces operating east of the hospital.
As we reported yesterday,
the Russians had planned to organize and complete the deployment of a sever operations unit,
but they launched an attack at an early stage of abandonment and entered the city center without a highly effective combat unit,
suffering heavy losses in the urban battle.
The battle map remains unchanged.
4th.
Along the Bovcha River east of the city center,
five Russian soldiers were targeted by snipers and were seen fleeing by Russian troops after being shot by Ukrainian troops.
What we are showing you is a view of Russian soldiers crouching down and operating in the area indicated on the map.
We have also reduced the area of the disputed territory to the Bohucha River.
Other than that,
there is no other information affecting the battle map,
and as we reported in yesterday's video,
the Russian military advance has effectively come to a halt.
Northeast: Toward Luhansk Oblast
Eastern Bakhmut
The following is a report on the war situation in the Kupyansk to Bakhmut area.
The Russians attacked 6 times in Kupyansk,
8 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
4 times around Sivelsk,
and 13 times in ChasivYar.
ChasivYar area
In Klishchiivka,
as reported in yesterday's video,
the position of the Russian shelling suggests that Russian troops attacked from the north and east,
advancing on the settlement of Klishchiivka,
and the next day Ukrainian troops counterattacked and pushed back the Russian troops,
but it is possible that nothing happened and it is not clear what happened. We will let you know as soon as we know more.
Other than that,
the Ukrainian army repulsed the Russian attack and there is no change in the battle map.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
The following is an update on the war situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
Marinka area
The Russians attacked 35 times in Avdiivka and at least 12 times in Marinka.
1st.
According to information from social networking sites close to Russia,
Russian troops advanced boldly in Umanske while under attack by Ukrainian troops and advanced to the location shown on the map east of Umanske,
which is believed to be the Russian front line.
The battle map shows that location on the battle map,
and we will revisit the battle map if we get confirmation in the future.
2nd.
According to the positional video,
Russian troops attacked Yasnobrodivka from the triangle between Umanske and Netailove and were repulsed by Ukrainian troops,
but they likely advanced in the rear,
and we have updated the battle map of the area from disputed to Russian-occupied territory.
The map shown is the Ukrainian side,
where many Russian soldiers can be seen sleeping on the ground,
as if by some kind of dismemberment trick or hypnosis.
The scene will be posted on the Telegram,
so those interested can watch it there.
We have updated the battle map from the disputed area to the Russian occupied area behind it.
3rd.
To the south,
in Netilove,
Ukrainian forces repeatedly conducted drone strikes on the house at the location shown on the map,
confirming that this location is a Russian military stronghold.
We have updated the battle map to show a slight advance by Russian forces to this location.
Otherwise,
there were reports of heavy ground fighting north of Pobieda,
but nothing that would affect the battle map.
Vuhledar Area
The Russians made nine attacks in this sector,
but there was no information that would affect the battle map.
Southern Zaporizhia Province
Southern province of Kherson
In this sector,
the Russians made 35 attacks near Fryapole and Robotyne,
and 9 attacks on Krinky.
The Russians may have advanced about 100 meters in each of two locations,
southeast of Fryapole,
in the urban area of Mafopil and Robotyne,
and to the west,
but we do not know.
That's all for today.
Please feel free to leave your analysis of the war situation,
your thoughts on the news,
and any updates you may have in the comments section.
Thank you for watching.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1,210 soldiers
13 tanks
43 armored fighting vehicles
36 guns
1 air defense system
1 aircraft
1 helicopter
35 drones
3 cruise missiles
71 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 114 ground battles in one day.
Russian military losses continue to be high.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 2.1 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Losses on the Russian side were mostly tanks and desert cross 4-wheeled baby carriages,
with a record of four aircraft lost in Crimea that day.
Conversely,
losses on the Ukrainian side are notable for communications equipment such as Starlink antennas.
This is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.
1st.
The Ukrainian military has attacked Russian territory with a number of drones and there have been explosions at an oil depot and port in Novorossiysk.
The Governor of Krasnodar announced that 10 drones were shot down and the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 102 drones were shot down,
claiming that some of the debris was fire,
but in the video you can see flames rising on the ground with the sound of drone engines.
Air defense has also failed,
as the machine gun is pointed at the sky,
and there is no air defense.
According to local social networks,
fire trucks and sirens can be heard in the city,
traffic to the port has been completely blocked,
and power is out in the city.
The refinery was attacked in January and there was information that it had resumed production in May,
but this resulted in an attack shortly thereafter.
In addition to Novorossiysk,
explosions were also observed that day in Tuapse,
Sevastopol,
and Belgorod.
Second.
President Zelensky stated that for the first time in the two years and three months of war with Russia,
the Ukrainian army has a sufficient number of artillery shells.
In response to questions from the press,
President Zelensky stated that for the first time during the war,
no brigade of the Ukrainian Defense Forces complained about the lack of shells,
and that the shells are reaching the front lines.
Third.
Chemezov,
head of Rostec,
which produces 80% of Russia's weapons,
gave a lengthy interview to RBK and,
when asked about the current economic situation in Russia,
replied,
"It is the same as before the collapse of the Soviet Union,
and Russia is being held by the throat."
He admitted that problems are piling up and said,
"The profit margin is 2.28% due to rising costs caused by inflation and the reduction of procurement prices from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Every company that tries to cut costs is subject to further reductions in procurement prices,
so all companies are backpedaling," he said.
He also expressed pessimism about the future of Russia's aviation industry,
saying,
"By 2030,
all 500 Western aircraft will be gone,
and civil aviation will cease to exist in Russia,
since domestic production capacity will be one or two aircraft per year at most.
4th
President Vladimir Putin,
accompanied by key cabinet members,
visited China,
but it is clear that he achieved absolutely nothing on key issues.
According to the article,
one of the goals of the visit was to resolve the situation where Chinese banks,
fearing secondary US sanctions,
would not accept remittances from Russia,
and the other was to advance the construction of the "Siberia 2" natural gas pipeline from Russia to China,
but no progress was made on either.
China also ranked the Russian delegation by having them wear gold,
silver,
and blue badges.
The Secretary of the Security Council,
Mr. Shoigu,
who was given a blue badge,
was not allowed to enter the Chinese parliament.
This is the same treatment that the Chinese used to give the Mongols when they conquered them: gold,
silver,
copper,
and wooden plates.
