Situation in Ukraine
It has been 664 days since the Russian invasion of Kyiv,
but first,
a general matter.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were,

1140 soldiers
15 tanks
19 armored fighting vehicles
15 artillery pieces
0 multiple rocket launchers
1 air defense system
9 drones
22 other vehicles.

The entire front reported 92 ground battles in a single day.

Russian artillery losses have skyrocketed,
and
shells may be reaching Ukrainian forces,
although there are shortages.

In the offensive over the last three days or so,
Russian forces have lost more than 3,
000 soldiers,
75 tanks,
and
100 armored fighting vehicles,
the largest losses by Russian forces since the invasion of Kyiv.

Here is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.

1st.
The details and
results of the attack on the Morozovsk airfield in Rostovnadnou,
which we reported on in yesterday's video,
have been revealed,
showing that
the results of the attack were more than expected.

According to the article,
the attack was carried out using 17 UAVs of unknown make and
model,
and
while seven were shot down by Russian Pantsir air defense missiles,
all of the remaining 10 hit their targets,
damaging two Russian Air Force fighters beyond repair,
as well as 10 Su34s.

Second.
Following his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election,
President Putin delivered a speech at the party congress of
the ruling United Russia party.

President Putin began his speech by saying,
"Russian citizens should not live in affluence.

He acknowledged the low standard of living of the Russian people,
saying,
"People don't work hard when their income is high,

He continued,
"Poverty is not a bad thing.
Poverty is not a bad thing,
because it leads to the next action and
effort.
The rich are worthless,
and
the have-nots strive to achieve something.
He stated that
even if he is reelected next time,
the people will not become wealthy.

He also touched on the war in Ukraine,
implicitly criticizing the EU member states,
saying that
Russia will not "give up its sovereignty in exchange for a sausage and
become a satellite state of some other country,
" as other countries have done,

He stressed that
"Russia will either be a sovereign state or cease to exist at all,
" and
expressed his strong enthusiasm for betting on the war in
Ukraine for Russia's survival.

Apparently,
the Russian people will elect a leader who will not enrich them.

Third.
The Comptroller General of the U.S. Department of Defense sent a
letter to Congress informing them that
the U.S. will use the remaining $1.07 billion of its budget on
December 30 to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

With this expenditure,
"all financial assistance to Ukraine has been exhausted,
" he wrote,

While avoiding mention of the amount,
Coordinator Kirby acknowledged the letter's existence and
stated that
"Congress must act without delay.

Meanwhile,
the 40-member Alphen Group of security experts,
including former diplomats and
military personnel,
submitted a letter to Congress requesting approval of additional aid to Ukraine,
stating that
"suspension of aid would result in a major failure of the United States and
would be catastrophic for Ukraine and
the West,
opening the door to a more dangerous world,
The letter urged Congress to recognize the importance of maintaining and
expanding support for Ukraine.

Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
I will tell you where the war situation is changing.

Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward Bakhmut

I will tell you about the war situation in the area from
Kupyansk to Svatove-Kreminna line and
from Sibersk to the area around Bakhmut.

In this sector,
the Russians attacked nine times in Shinkivka,
eight times in and
around the Serebryansky Forest,
and
five times in the direction of Bakhmut.

According to the analysis of the Institute for the Study of War,
both armies may have expended most of their artillery shells,
and
the war situation is fraught with uncertainty,
as the Russians have increased their assaults and
the Ukrainians their drone attacks,
reducing their ability to conduct future maneuvers.

Northeast,
from the Kupyansk area to the Sibersk area.

There was no information affecting the war situation map in this area.

Eastern part,
toward Bakhmut

In this sector,
Russian forces are on the offensive,
while Ukrainian forces are retreating slightly,
whittling down the Russian forces' strength.

1st.
According to several sources,
the Russians pushed forward on a bumpy front from Bohdanivka to Kromove.

We have reviewed the general battle map of the area and
marked the Russian-occupied areas with red shading and
the front lines of disputed territory with orange lines.

A slight pull of the map shows that
the Russians are advancing about 6 kilometers wide toward Chasifjar.

2nd.
According to the located video.
South of downtown Bakhmut,
Russian forces launched an offensive and
advanced.

Russian troops first shelled residential areas from which they advanced on the 12th,
then assault units advanced and
took over parts of the residential areas.

The video is from the Russian side and
shows the vicinity of the battle map.

This area had been recaptured by Ukrainian forces in May,
but the map has been updated to show the area occupied by Russian forces.

The area is about 0.5 square kilometers.

3rd.

East of Andryvka,
the Ukrainian Army's 92nd Assault Brigade intensively bombarded Russian positions and
reduced their strength.

The video is from the Ukrainian side and
shows the location shown on the battle map.

There are no changes to the battle map here.

Southeast Donetsk Oblast

Weather in Avdiivka is cloudy and
rainy.
Minimum temperature 1 degree Celsius,
maximum 2 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is cloudy

The following is an update on the war situation in the direction of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and
Vuhledar.

Avdiivka

The Russian army has been pouring its full strength into this area in
an attempt to encircle Avdiivka. However,
the Russian army has lost nine of its main tanks in a single day,
and
almost 100% of the Russian units that
have been deployed have been repulsed.

The Institute for the Study of War analyzed the Russian military's claims and,
in the absence of any significant war results,
began to distribute supplies to the frontline infantry,
which had previously been disposable,

The Institute for the Study of War points out that
the Russian military may be shifting from an all-out offensive to an active defense.

Now,
on the battle map,
the Russians are in this direction.
The Russian forces made 30 attacks around Novovakumchivka and
37 attacks in Avdiivka,
but the Ukrainian army defended itself and
there were no reports of Russian advances in this sector.

Marinka Area

The Russians launched four attacks on Marinka and
Novomihailivka.

The Russians focused their attacks on Novomihailivka,
with positional video showing airstrikes on the Novomihailivka city center,
followed by a southern attack on a factory on the edge of town,
which broke through the Ukrainian defensive line and
advanced.

The image shown is from the Russian side and
shows Russian forces reaching the edge of the factory on the battle map.

We have updated the battle map to show this area as disputed and
Russian-occupied.

Southern Zaporizhia Province

No ground battles were reported in the vicinity of Verkanovo Silka,

Russian forces made four attacks in Verbove and
Robotyne,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the war picture unchanged.

Southern Province of Kherson

In this area,
the Russians are regrouping and
have attempted to cut off supply lines by launching drone surveillance and
guided missile attacks on Ukrainian boats crossing the Dnipro River,
as well as launching a multi-pronged offensive toward Krynky.

Judging from the video footage,
the Russians launched attacks from the east,
south,
and
southwest of Krynky,
some of which reached the center of the city.

The Ukrainian military has responded to the eastern part of these attacks with drones and
artillery fire,
but it appears that
they have not been able to reach the other directions.

The video is from the Ukrainian side and
shows a drone attack on the post office shown on the battle map,
which confirms the presence of Russian troops at this location.

The entire urban area of Krynky has been updated on the war map from
the Ukrainian recaptured area to the disputed area.

Other.
We have not reported much on the battle map,
but there has been some interesting news about Russian losses in Vuhledar.

The BBC and
MediaZona covered the 155th Marine Brigade's November 27 memorial service
at the naval base in Vladivostok.

First,
they reported that
the naval cemetery was filled with crosses with numerous names inscribed on them.

The 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Army fighting at
Vuhledar wore black berets and
was considered one of the elite units of the Russian Army.

Although the brigade initially numbered 3000 men,
it had been reorganized eight times as the number of soldiers was
depleted with each battle,

Through our interviews,
we learned that
there are now 234 soldiers left in the unit,
a decrease of more than 90%,
and
that
the memorial service was held in the midst of the devastation.

That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
