Situation in Ukraine
656 days after the Russian invasion of Kyiv,
we start with general matters.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses are,

1030 soldiers
19 tanks
31 armored fighting vehicles
6 artillery guns
18 drones
19 other vehicles.

The entire front reported 60 ground attacks in one day.

We cannot determine if this is due to low morale and
increased losses of soldiers or if it is temporary,
such as weather,
but the Russian offensive is also on the decline.

Here is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where necessary.

1st.
It has been revealed that
the Ukrainian military has conducted a new operation in Sevastopol,
and
that
it was a secret and
successful one.

Defense Express,
citing the December issue of the Russian Defense Ministry's naval magazine,
confirms that
the Russian military is clearing mines in the Bay of Sevastopol.

This means that
the Ukrainian military has laid mines in Sevastopol using either overwater or underwater drones.

According to the article,
this is the first time that
mines have been cleared in Russia since 1974.

Second.
When Vladimir Putin announced his candidacy for the presidency,
he threw a tantrum and
got excited when he mentioned Ukraine.

Surrounded by Russian military officers,
Putin spoke with a glass in his hand
and
said,
"We attacked Ukraine because Ukraine destroyed Russia,
" and
then turned to the Russian military officer who said the word "Ukraine" and
asked,
"Have you completely lost your mind?
In a word,
you are crazy.
Ukrainians are indigenous people,
not a nation.
The Minsk agreements are an attempt to neglect,
weaken,
and
crush Russia,
" he said,
excitedly denying Ukraine's existence.

Third.
President Zelensky will visit the U.S. on December 12.

According to Ukraine's presidential office,
President Zelensky is currently visiting Argentina to attend the country's presidential inauguration,
and
is likely to stop in the United States on his way back.

While in the U.S.,
he will meet with President Biden and
hold a number of other meetings and
negotiations.

The U.S. Senate has rejected by a wide margin a bill that
would have provided financial support to Ukraine,
and
it will be interesting to see if the situation can be resolved before the Christmas vacations.

According to the Guardian,
Prime Minister Orban will also visit the U.S. to meet with Republican lawmakers and
call for an end to aid to Ukraine.

Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
I will tell you where the war situation is changing.

The weather is bad today and
the Russian army is probably exhausted,
so the offensive is slow and
this will be a shorter report than usual.

Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward Bakhmut

The following is a report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Kupyansk and
the area from Sibersk to Bakhmut.

In the Kupyansk sector,
the Russian offensive was reduced due to subzero weather with sleet.

In this sector,
the Russians attacked 7 times in Shinkivka and
Ivanivka,
at least once in and
around the Serebryanskiy Forest,
and
14 times in the Bakhmut sector.

Bakhmut area

1st.
At Rozdorivka,
north of Solder,
unconfirmed reports indicate that
Ukrainian troops advanced.
This will be reflected in the battle map when it is confirmed.

2nd.
South of Bohdanivka,
there is a possibility that
the Russians may have made a slight advance,
so we have updated the battle map to include that
area as disputed territory.

Third.
According to the located video,
Russian forces reached the O0506 line north of Kromove and
continued to advance to secure part of the O0506 line.

The video shows Russian troops deploying and
occupying positions at the locations on the battle map.

No fighting appears to be taking place with Ukrainian troops,
and
it is possible that
Ukrainian troops have already retreated to positions in the rear.
We have updated the battle map to show Russian troops occupying this area.

There was no other information affecting the battle map in this area.

Southeast Donetsk Oblast

Weather in Avdiivka is sleet.
Lowest temperature -4 degrees Celsius,
highest -2 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is sleet

The following is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and
Vuhledar.

Avdiivka area

The Russians have made 39 attacks in this sector and
are constantly making frontal infantry assaults regardless of weather conditions.

Some tragic images of Avdiivka have been shown on social networking sites by Russian soldiers,
with one unit reporting that
only 14 out of 75 men were left and
another unit reporting that
only one man was left,
both posting on their social networking sites the scattered remains of dead Russian soldiers.

1st.
Although around Krasnohorivka,
the Russians have bombed at least six times north of the coal plant,
attempting frontal assaults in all directions,

There is no information affecting the battle map,
and
Ukrainian forces are blocking the Russian advance.

Second.
On the contrary,
Ukrainian forces are attacking the Russian military gathering point at the location on the battle map northeast of Tellikon,
as the Russian offensive momentum has been slowing down.

The video is from the Ukrainian army,
and
the part I can't show you on YouTube has been cut,
but this is the situation at the location on the battle map.

3rd.
Russian troops are also attacking in Severne,
but with no results.

Russian troops have been advancing in convoys since early morning,
but at every turn they have been repulsed by Ukrainian troops,
and
the battle map has not changed for two months.

What we are showing you is the situation in the vicinity of the battle situation map.

Other axes of attack were also defended by Ukrainian forces and
the Russians could not advance.

Marinka area

In this sector,
too,
the Russian offensive momentum declined,
with eight attacks on Marinka and
Novomihailivka.

In Marinka,
the Russians can be seen flagging again in the same place where they had flagged on December 1.

Nevertheless,
we have not been able to confirm any stable occupation of this vicinity,
and
the area will remain disputed for the time being.

South,
Zaporizhia Province.

Bad weather in this area has also led to a decline in Russian offensives,
with two reports of ground battles in Staromayorsk and
three in Robotyne,
but no change in the war picture.

South,
province of Kherson.

Russian troops attacked in convoys toward Krynky,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian troops with heavy losses.

The units of the Russian Army's 104th Airborne Division,
which we reported on yesterday,
made their first attack deployed in this direction,
and
the result was an assault on Krynky in a convoy without both artillery and
air support,

As a result,
they lost a total of 10 pieces of equipment,
including four tanks,
two BMD4 infantry fighting vehicles,
and
a BTR82 armored fighting vehicle,
and
were quickly routed.

The Ukrainian forces did not retreat a meter.

A Russian military blogger reporting on the incident claimed that
the commander,
Teplinsky,
ordered a poor attack and
should resign early if he has any pride as an officer.

Other.

President Zelensky is seen standing with Hungarian Prime Minister Orban in Argentina,
where he was visiting,
and
some conversation appears to have taken place.

The video shows President Zelensky making an appeal and
Prime Minister Orban listening.

That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
