Situation in Ukraine
It has been 874 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1,110 soldiers
13 tanks
36 armored fighting vehicles
44 artillery guns
45 drones
65 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 114 ground battles in one day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.9,
compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Losses on the Russian side are mostly in tanks,
infantry fighting vehicles,
and 4-wheeled carts,
suggesting an aggressive offensive.
On the Ukrainian side,
on the contrary,
infantry fighting vehicles are conspicuous,
confirming that they are conducting a mop-up operation of assault soldiers.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes along with the date if you use the full screen view on the big screen.
Northeast,
Harkiv area
This section reports on the situation in the Halkiu area,
where Russian troops crossed the border in May and launched a military invasion.
Russian troops in this area made 10 attacks at Hlyboke and Vovtyansk.
The Russians sent a part of the 47th Motorized Rifle Division from the Southern Front as reinforcements to maintain the front line in this area.
Vovtyansk Area
There is no information affecting the battle map in this sector,
and the Russians are conducting drone strikes on Ukrainian positions between the central hospital and the aggregate plant in the city of Vovchansk.
They have also conducted airstrikes on Ukrainian military positions east of the city to check the movement of Ukrainian troops.
In addition,
Russian soldiers of the 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Army reported in a video message the situation in Vovchansk,
saying that in a 46-man assault,
16 soldiers were called to hell and the remaining 30 soldiers were seriously wounded and forced to retreat.
The Russian soldier in the video appears to be sobbing and begging for forgiveness,
reporting to his family that he had to escape without being able to save them all.
Northeast,
toward Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward ChasivYar
The following is an update on the war situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russians attacked three times in the direction of Kupyansk,
nine times on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
at least 11 times around Sivelsk,
six times around ChasivYar,
and 20 times in the direction of Toretsk.
These Russian attacks were repulsed by the Ukrainian forces,
except in the direction of Toretsk,
which will be described next,
and the Russians had no success.
Tretzk sector
In this sector,
the Russians gathered troops from the surrounding areas and made an assault in an attempt to break through.
1st.
On the Mayorsk-Druzhba axis of attack,
positional video footage shows Russian troops advancing along the railroad tracks,
seizing on houses on both sides of the tracks,
looking for an opportunity to launch another assault.
The Ukrainian troops,
on the other hand,
are using drones to attack the houses.
The image you are seeing is from the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and shows the houses along the railroad tracks.
The Russians have advanced about 300 meters and have updated their battle map to show that the area is partially occupied by Russian troops from disputed territory and Ukrainian-controlled territory.
2nd.
In the high-rise apartment district of the Artemove district,
the video with location data confirms that this location is the front line,
as Russian soldiers are entering and exiting the high-rise apartment building shown on the map.
The image you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side,
and is part of a scene where the Russian soldiers are struggling to enter the building,
and the Ukrainian military drone interrupts them,
preventing them from ever entering the building again.
Since this location is the front line,
the battle map has expanded the Russian occupation to the west and reduced the Russian occupation to the north.
Third.
According to the video,
the Russians advanced on the east side of the Krivyitorets River,
which runs north-south through Niuyoke.
The image you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side,
where the Russian assault soldiers are being observed at the location indicated on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show the Russian forces occupying the 400 meters or so to this location from the disputed area.
4th.
Conversely,
the Ukrainian forces advanced to the base of this salient and succeeded in taking the first house,
and conversely,
the Russians extended their control to the west of the salient.
The image you see is from the Russian side,
where a Russian drone is observing Ukrainian soldiers at the location indicated on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show the area occupied by the Russians to the disputed territory,
and the area to the west of the disputed territory partially occupied by the Russians.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast
The following is an update on the war situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Velikanovosilka.
The weather in Avdiivka,
which affects the operation,
is sunny.
Minimum temperature is 24 degrees Celsius,
maximum 37 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather is also forecast to be hazy.
The forecast for the next 10 days is basically clear,
although there will be occasional evening showers.
The Avdiivka area
In this sector the Russians made 41 attacks with air support in various directions.
1st.
According to the positional video,
the Russians reached the border forest just east of the settlement of Rozvatske.
Ukrainian forces responded with artillery fire and drones,
but the Russians continued to attack with even greater frequency.
The image you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side,
where the Russian army is advancing with vehicles,
which are being observed by FPV drones.
We have updated the battle map as Russian forces have advanced to that border forest.
2nd.
Prores has updated its battle map to state that,
based on multiple sources,
Russian forces have advanced along the railroad tracks and the border forest to the south of the tracks,
and that Russian forces have advanced to the forest to the east of the settlement.
Third.
positional video and multiple intelligence syntheses indicate that Russian forces have occupied the settlement of Evhenivka and have begun advancing toward Bovce.
The occupation of Evhenivka was identified by Russian soldiers entering and leaving the settlement on motorcycles.
Evhenivka has been changed to a red marker indicating occupied territory.
The next image you are seeing is from the Russian side,
where a Russian drone is chasing a Ukrainian Army Bradley infantry fighting vehicle on the western outskirts of the settlement.
The battle map has been updated to show the area occupied by the Russians from disputed territory to Russian-occupied territory.
4th.
Novoselivka Persia has been the scene of heavy fighting,
and the Ukrainian military has reportedly deployed volunteer prisoners to defend the area.
The video has already been erased,
but according to the video with location information,
Russian troops have entered the urban area 300 meters south of the farm they advanced on the 12th,
and have updated their battle map from the disputed area to the Russian-occupied area.
5th.
Also in the eastern suburbs,
from the shelling position of the Ukrainian troops,
a garden center-like area has become the front line for the Russians,
and the Russians have closed the gap to the city center.
We have updated the battle map to assume that the Russian forces have occupied that area from the disputed territory.
Marinka Area
The Russians made seven attacks in this area.
In Krasnohorivka,
where we reported Russian forces advanced yesterday,
Russian forces continue to try to advance house by house and may have slightly expanded the area occupied.
Since the change is slight,
there is no change in the battle map at this time.
Otherwise,
the Russian attack was repulsed by Ukrainian forces and no changes were made to the battle map.
Verkhanovosylka area
In Urozyne,
where we reported yesterday that the settlement was occupied,
there is no change in the battle map,
but the Russians are conducting mop-up operations around the house.
Rear areas
1st.
In Kursk,
we have information that Ukrainian troops attacked a transformer factory,
wounding one person and causing several explosions and fires in 500 square meters of the workshop.
In the video you can see flames rising with the sound of explosions.
Second.
As mentioned briefly in the news section,
it appears that the Russian military base in Sevastopol was attacked and the positions of S400 and S300 air defense systems were hit.
According to records,
there were eight explosions.
South,
Zaporizhia Province
Southern province of Kherson
In this sector,
the Russians have reported positional battles at Malatkumatica and Krinky,
but there were no changes in the battle map.
This is a brief report on selected news about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where necessary.
1st.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Pletenchuk posted on social networking sites,
gThe last ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are now leaving the Crimean Peninsula.
We hope that this day will not be forgottenh.
Although there has been no report from the Russian Navy,
the Ukrainian military has completely withdrawn Russian Navy ships from the Crimean Peninsula.
The Ukrainian Navy also reported that gthere are no Russian ships in the Black Sea,
and although there are three ships in the Sea of Azov,
none of them are equipped with Caribbean missiles.
The Russian military had been attacking Ukraine by launching Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea,
which also means that there is one less Russian threat to Ukraine.
According to the British press,
Ukrainian forces have destroyed or damaged 26 Russian Navy ships in the past two years,
and on July 15,
Ukrainian forces attacked air defense missiles in Sevastopol,
damaging Russian forces.
Second.
In an interview with Ukrainian media,
Ukrainian military national security expert Valchenko explained that gthe situation in Russia is getting worse.
According to him,
gThe Russians say that they have an inexhaustible supply of criminals and that they can forcefully mobilize millions of people to be deployed in the war against Ukraine,
but in reality the manpower is depleted.
Russia is now looking for ways to find cannon fodder,h he said.
He added,
gThe situation in Russia is deteriorating,
and we are approaching riots and revolution.
Famine-induced riots are one of them.
The Russian propaganda media is showing that gsanctions against the Russian economy are rather positive for the Russian economy,h but it is not true.
We are approaching a scenario of riots and revolution due to shortages from medicines,
industrial products,
and other necessary goods,h he explained.
Comments in the Belarusian media on this included,
gIt is the second coming of Nicholas II (who was defeated in the Russo-Japanese War),h gNot as bad as Stalin and Lenin,h and gThere has never been a coup d'etat in Russia that came from the grassroots.h
Third.
Many viewers of this channel know that Chinese banks,
fearing secondary U.S.
sanctions,
have stopped accepting remittances from Russia.
The Moscow Times reported that between February and May,
25% of transactions involved Russian companies not being able to remit payment for imports.
With Russia finding it increasingly difficult to import from foreign countries,
doing business with China has become a matter of life and death for Russian trading companies.
And of late,
Russian companies trying to circumvent sanctions and purchase goods have been scammed in a number of high-profile cases.
According to a Russian businessman,
Mr.
Doruntz,
who spoke to Vodomosti,
an online trading company posted information on its website that it was possible to avoid the sanctions and settle import payments from China,
and it posted photos of products and permits actually exported to Russia from Chinese companies.
The Russian company immediately contacted the trading company,
ordered the goods,
paid 30% to 50% of the price,
and waited for the goods to arrive,
but before long the website disappeared and the payment was not returned.
One company Dorunz knows lost 50 million rubles ($1 million) in this way,
he said,
adding,
gEven if we wanted to sue,
neither the Chinese police nor the courts would work.
It is an even more impractical way to recover the money in Russian courts,h he says.
The article goes on to say that gChinese scammers swindled money out of Russia,
at the cost of President Putin's friendship.h
That's all for today.
Please feel free to leave your analysis of the war situation,
thoughts on the news,
and updates in the comments section.
