Situation in Ukraine
It has been 780 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,030 soldiers
23 tanks
47 armored combat vehicles
32 artillery pieces
3 multiple rocket launchers
1 air defense system
40 drones
1 cruise missile
62 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 78 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 2.6 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
SUVs and military trucks are somewhat prominent in the losses on the Russian side,
while tanks are prominent on the Ukrainian side.
This is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you want.
1.
U.S. military aid bill nears completion.
According to The Hill,
U.S. House Speaker Johnson is holding talks with the White House on a military assistance bill involving Ukraine and will meet with former President Trump in Florida on Friday.
Johnson's task is difficult,
however,
as he seeks a bill that President Biden can sign,
that former President Trump will not oppose,
and that the 10 to 15 hard-line Republicans will not block,
with one Democrat saying,
"We're going to have to vote on the Senate bill as is. One Democrat said,
"We're going to have to vote on the Senate bill as is," while another chillingly said,
"We're going to have to betray former President Trump,
whom Chairman Johnson admires.
2.
British Defense Minister Shapps said that the Dragonfire laser weapon could be brought to Ukraine for testing.
The Dragonfire is a laser weapon that Britain hopes to commercialize in three years. It heats an exposed metal surface to 3,000 degrees Celsius to make a hole in it,
and in a test in January this year it successfully intercepted an airborne target.
It is accurate enough to aim at a one-pound coin at a distance of one kilometer,
and can shoot down an inexhaustible number of targets at a low cost of 10 pounds (2,000 yen) each,
as long as there is a power source,
but has the disadvantage that its effective range is so far limited to within visual range.
Defense Minister Shapps said,
"The time has come to introduce it to the world,
even at 70% perfection.
Third.
A group of volunteer military experts prepared a report and announced that Russia's tanks and other armored vehicles are most likely to bottom out in early 2026.
The report is a detailed analysis of Russia's production,
repairs and inventory,
using historical reports and aerial photographs,
and covers 95% of Russia's information.
In a nutshell,
the report states that Russia produces 15 to 20 new cars per month,
repairs 77 cars per month,
and has 4,300 to 4,600 cars in storage waiting for repairs and parts.
On the other hand,
production is not expected to expand due to labor shortages and sanctions on machine tools. The report analyzes that the Russian army can fight for another 12 months if fighting intensifies,
18 months at the current rate,
and 24 months if tanks and other equipment can be imported from North Korea and Iran,
and assesses that "the Russian army is surprisingly fragile.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern Bakhmut
This section covers the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians made 29 attacks around Sibersk and in the direction of Bakhmut.
In the Kupyansk and Svatove-Kreminna lines,
some units of the Baltic Fleet have fallen back due to wear and there are reports that the 47th Panzer Division has probably been pulled out to attack ChasivYar,
possibly halting the Russian offensive operations in this area.
Around Sibersk
Small-scale fighting continued in this area north of Bilohorivka and Spirne and south of Vimka,
with both sides reportedly shelling each other's positions,
but no changes to the battle map were reported.
Around ChasivYar
The Russians have concentrated their forces on the capture of ChasivYar and are continuing their attack.
1.
In Bohdanivka,
where we reported in yesterday's video that part of the town had been taken,
the Ukrainian military launched a counterattack.
However,
a Russian reconnaissance unit spotted them and the Ukrainian army lost two BMP infantry fighting vehicles and the counterattack failed.
The Russian video shown here is from the Russian side and shows the location shown on the map.
Bohodanivka is most likely occupied by Russian troops,
but we have not been able to confirm this,
and so far there has been no change in the battle map.
2.
In Kanal,
the Russians have been firing artillery and thermobaric bombs at Ukrainian positions on the southeastern edge of the city center and in the wooded area south of the city center to control Ukrainian troop movements.
The Russians are likely to use the tactic of destroying all the buildings in the canal and then entering the ground war to avoid losses in the urban battle,
based on their successful experience in Avdiivka.
Otherwise,
there are reports of small ground battles in Ivanivske and Klishchiivka,
but no change in the battle map.
Southeast Donetsk region
Weather in Avdiivka: Thunderstorms
The minimum temperature is 12 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 25 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is for showers.
Below is the situation in the regions of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
The Russians attacked this area seven times.
1.
At Berdici,
the Russians changed the direction of the attack to the north,
as they found it difficult to break through the front.
The Russians moved north along the river,
and two of the Russian vehicles rounded the river and then advanced westward,
trying to get behind the Ukrainian defensive line,
where they were blocked and repelled by Ukrainian mines.
What I am showing you is the Ukrainian side,
and it is the location that is shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show the eastern side of the river as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed area.
To draw the map a little bit,
the Ukrainian army would like to somehow defend itself on the current line,
because if the current Ukrainian defense line through Berdych,
Semenivka and Umanske is breached,
they will now retreat to Novobakumchivka,
three kilometers back.
2.
In the triangle between Umanske and Netailove the Russians continued their breakthrough attempt from the previous day,
attacking to the west in the north and in the center,
but both were repulsed by the Ukrainian forces,
losing T90 on the northern attack axis.
In case of a successful breakthrough,
the Russians are building positions right behind them to prevent a retreat,
and they are advancing slightly despite the losses.
What I am showing you are the Russian soldiers operating in the area indicated on the map of the central axis of attack.
We have updated the battle map to show this area as occupied by Russian troops from the disputed territory.
The area is about one square kilometer.
Marinka sector
In this sector the Russians made 26 attacks on Krasnohorivka,
Heolyivka and Novomihailivka,
north of Marinka.
In Krasnohorivka,
the Russians were unable to advance due to the thorough destruction of Russian vehicles along the railroads that the Russians entered.
What we are showing you is a Ukrainian army drone monitoring the situation near the locations on the map.
There is no change in the battle map.
Other than that,
there have been no changes in the battle map,
as the Ukrainian forces have been repulsing the Russian attacks,
albeit more frequently.
Vuhledar area
In Urozyan,
there is no change in the battle map,
but according to the position video,
the Russians have attacked the Ukrainian army's frontline positions by throwing thermobaric bombs at the locations indicated on the map,
and are preparing for another ground battle.
South,
Zaporizhia province
Southern Kherson Province
In this area,
the Russians made five attacks in Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne and seven attacks in Krinky,
but the Ukrainian army repulsed all of them,
leaving the battle map unchanged. According to the partisan organization Ates,
the Russian soldiers in Herzogen refused to do their duty and deserted en masse.
The deserters have taken up residence in an abandoned house in a rural settlement near the border with the Crimean Peninsula,
and local residents say that most of the Russian soldiers have tattoos and rumors that they must have been in prison.

The war in Ukraine is now dependent on U.S. military support,
and a Gallup poll shows that the percentage of Americans who say the U.S. is not supporting Ukraine enough has increased since the October poll,
while those who say "too much" and "just enough" have decreased.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
