Situation in Ukraine
It has been 869 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1100 soldiers
2 tanks
17 armored fighting vehicles
59 guns
4 multiple rocket launchers
3 air defense systems
56 drones
3 cruise missiles
60 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 128 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of Ukrainian equipment losses to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1.1 to 1,
compared to the number of losses on the Russian side.
Losses on the Ukrainian side are mostly pickups,
communication facilities,
and anti-mine armored vehicles,
suggesting that they may be conducting some kind of operation using smaller vehicles that are less likely to be targeted by drones.
Conversely,
on the Russian side,
civilian vans,
military trucks,
and artillery stand out,
sending soldiers to the front lines.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes along with the dates if you go to the full screen view on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
This month's report focuses on the situation in the Halkiw area,
where Russian troops crossed the border in May and launched a military invasion.
Russian troops in this area made six attacks on Liptsi,
Staritsa,
and Vovtyansk.
Vovtyansk
In this sector,
Russian troops crossed the Bovcha River and penetrated to the south.
1st.
The size of the attack is unknown,
but according to the video with location information,
Ukrainian troops are shelling the area indicated on the map,
and Russian troops can be seen at this location.
As if in response,
a Russian military blogger claims that Russian troops advanced south on Soborna Street,
across the Bovcha River,
and east and west to Harkiv Street.
If this is correct,
then the encirclement of the aggregate plant has already been lifted,
the Russians have somehow crossed the river,
and the Ukrainians have retreated to the east of Vovtyansk.
There are reports that Russian troops are advancing in this direction,
not in military uniform,
but in plain clothes and disguised as civilians.
This is a clear violation of international law,
but it does not seem to concern Russia.
Also,
perhaps they may have dug tunnels to break through the positions as we reported yesterday,
and since we are unable to determine this at this time,
we have updated the battle map to show the area where the shelling took place as Russian occupied territory and added the Russian claim in orange warfare.
Second.
The Russians have stormed the Ukrainian positions east of the town and are now fighting.
The image you are seeing is from the Russian Army's 83rd Airborne Division and shows the location shown on the map.
This area was recaptured by Ukrainian forces on the 20th of last month.
We have updated the battle map of the area from the Ukrainian recaptured area to the disputed area: 。

Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward ChasivYar
The following is a report on the war situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 10 times in the direction of Kupyansk,
16 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
5 times around Sivelsk,
5 times around ChasivYar,
and 14 times in the direction of Toretsk.
Kupyansk direction
1st.
Around Shinkivka,
both sides attacked.
According to the positional video,
Ukrainian troops are drone attacking Russian infantry advancing from Lyman Persie,
while Russian troops are bombing Shinkivka and its eastern outskirts.
What you are seeing is the footage from the Russian side and the location shown on the map.
This area had been disputed since June,
when the Ukrainian military retook the Russian-occupied territory,
and the battle map has been updated to show that the Ukrainian military has retaken a part of the area.
On the other hand,
the fact that there was an airstrike in this area means that the Russians may launch an offensive later,
so caution is required.
There are reports that the 12th Tank Regiment of the 1st Tank Army is attacking in this area.
Svatove-Kreminna line
According to the positional video,
Russian troops attacked from Novovojane in the direction of Makijka,
but Ukrainian troops blocked the Russian advance with drones and artillery fire.
Makijka had been attacked from the east on two axes of attack,
but the Russians attempted to break the deadlock with a new attack from the north,
but failed.
The image you are looking at is of the 107th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
and shows the T-junction where it diverges from the main road on the map.
The Russians continued to send troops to the front lines,
and ground fighting continued in Makijka.
Other Russian attacks were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
ChasivYar sector
The Russians continued their offensive in this sector,
but the battle map remained unchanged.
The Russians also launched a total of 50 multiple rocket attacks on the settlements west of Kalinivka,
the forests south of Kalinivka,
Zohtnevi,
and Novi to deter Ukrainian forces.
Toretsk sector
Three attacks are ongoing in this direction.
The Russians are dropping 3 or 4 glide bombs on Ukrainian positions every 30 minutes to check Ukrainian troop movements.
1st.
Along the Mayorsk and Druzhba rail line,
the Russians are conducting an infantry assault,
while the Ukrainians are defending with the 95th Independent Assault Brigade,
32nd Mechanized Brigade,
and Lute National Guard Assault Brigade.
Ukrainian troops are using drones to destroy Russian positions one by one,
and BTR armored fighting vehicles are sweeping the area.
The map below shows the locations indicated on the map.
The battle map will remain unchanged as it is still within the disputed territory.
2nd.
In the Artemove area,
the Russians are unable to advance and the battle map remains unchanged.
The area occupied by the Russians is thin,
so the Ukrainian army has been able to hit the advancing Russian soldiers with drones,
weakening them by the time they reach the front line.
Third.
In Niuyoke,
Russian troops have advanced,
and according to several sources,
the troops that occupied Yulivka have entered and occupied the factory area of Niuyoke.
This has plunged Niuyoke into urban warfare.
The Russians also bombed the freight station in the center of the city,
making this location the front line for Ukrainian forces.
Therefore,
the battle map has been updated to include the area occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territories.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast
The following is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Velikanovosilka.
The weather in Avdiivka,
which affects the operation,
is sunny.
Minimum temperature is 23 degrees Celsius,
maximum 35 degrees Celsius.
The weather for today is also predicted to be hazy.
Avdiivka area
In this area,
Russian troops made 40 attacks in all directions.
In Evhenivka,
unconfirmed reports indicate that Ukrainian troops retreated from Evhenivka,
Russian troops occupied the entire settlement,
and Russian troops crossed the main line of defense and advanced to the west side of the settlement.
The next line of defense will be the river line through Proles and Bovce.
We will report this again when we have confirmation.
Second.
We have information that the Russians have also advanced in the direction of Novoselivka Persia to the east of the settlement.
We will update the battle map again once we have confirmation.
The battle map has been updated to show the eastern half of Novoselivka Persia as an extension of the disputed territory.
Third.
Furthermore,
in Yasnobrodivka,
Russian military bloggers claim occupation,
which is denied by the Voloshin spokesman.
Marinka area
Verkhanovosilka direction.
In this sector,
the Russians attacked 11 times in Marinka and 9 times in Vodzhane and Urozhane,
with a change in the war situation in Marinka.
1st.
In Krasnohorivka,
north of Marinka,
where heavy fighting is taking place,
Russian forces attacked from the east and occupied a low-density residential area north of the city center,
according to the video with location data.
The image you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side and shows the location shown on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show Russian forces occupying the area behind this location from Ukrainian-controlled territory.
The area is about 1.5 square kilometers.
2nd.
We also found Russian troops in this location south of the same Krasnohorivka urban area,
as Ukrainian troops are attacking a high-rise apartment building.
We have updated the battle map of that area from disputed territory to Russian occupied territory: 。

Rear areas
Today there were reports of a large fire in Evpatoria on the Crimean Peninsula,
although details are not available: 。

Southern Zaporizhia Oblast
Southern province of Kherson
In this area,
the Russians made four attacks in Fryapol and three in Malatkumatica,
and there was no change in the battle map,
although there was a series of positional battles along the Dnipro River.
This is a brief report on selected news about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to see where you need to go.
1st.
Pavlyuk,
Lieutenant General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Deputy Minister of Defense,
published an article entitled "For Ukraine to Fight Back" in which he analyzed Putin's theory of victory.
Putin's theory of victory,
simply put,
is that "after a long and sustained offensive and a series of incremental,
stealthy advances,
the other side will give up and win the war," assuming that Russia has unlimited equipment and manpower.
In fact,
as reported in the daily video,
the Russians have selected about six attack points and continue to deploy soldiers,
advancing a few square kilometers each day with a loss of more than 1,000 men.
The lieutenant general noted that "Russia's priority is to maintain its initiative on the battlefield and continue to exert continuous offensive pressure on Ukraine."
Russia also believes that "if the war is prolonged,
the West will give up,
believing that a Ukrainian victory is impossible.
In response,
he said,
the Ukrainian military is building up its forces and "this Russian strategy will be disrupted by counterattack operations such as those already underway in the Harkiv and Kremlinna areas.
Even without such a strategy,
he noted that "even at present,
the Russian military is gradually losing men and equipment,
making it difficult to recover losses," and analyzed that the tempo of Russian offensives will slowly decrease,
giving the Ukrainian military an opportunity to take control of the battlefield.
Second.
The Institute for the Study of War analyzed this article,
noting that the Russians lost 5,000 men to advance three blocks at the ChasivYar outpost of Kanal,
that the invasion of Harkiv in early May neutralized 91% of the Russian forces deployed and severely weakened the Russian Army's 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade,
and that the Russian Army's 83rd Airborne Brigade was also severely weakened by the invasion of Harkiv in early May.
The invasion of Kharkiv in early May neutralized 91% of the Russian forces deployed,
severely weakened the Russian 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade,
and caused catastrophic losses in the 83rd Airborne Brigade,
which was assessed by the Ukrainian military as having "lost its combat capability.
The article was written by Lt.
Gen.
In the article by the Lieutenant General just mentioned,
he also analyzed that "the quality of soldiers will be reduced,
but Russia will be able to lose a million men without any problems."
Third.
US Secretary of State Blinken,
speaking at a NATO open forum,
said,
"I am pleased to be here to inform you that the transfer of F-16s is underway," and that the first batch of F-16s is being transferred from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine: 。

That's all for today.
