The situation in Ukraine
It has been 909 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
some general information.
According to the latest announcement from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian military losses are as follows: 1,330 soldiers
5 tanks
26 armored fighting vehicles
52 artillery guns
1 multiple rocket launcher
1 air defense system
55 drones
5 cruise missiles
117 other vehicles
There were 149 reports of ground battles in a single day across the entire front line.
The Russian army is carrying out repeated small-scale attacks.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian military equipment that can be visually confirmed to the number of losses of Russian military equipment is 1 to 1.5,
meaning that the number of losses on the Russian side is 1.5 times that of the Ukrainian side.
The losses on the Russian side are mainly communication facilities,
military trucks and artillery,
while on the Ukrainian side,
infantry fighting vehicles are conspicuous.
Now,
let's take a look at the situation in each region.
We will focus on areas where the situation is changing.
You can follow these changes along with the dates by displaying the full screen on a large screen...
Northeast: Kursk and Kharkiv
It has been 13 days since the Ukrainian army invaded Kursk on August 6th...
Kursk
The weather in Kursk,
which affects the operation,
is the same as yesterday,
sunny
with a minimum temperature of 17 degrees and a maximum temperature of 33 degrees
The weather forecast for today is also sunny...
As we reported in the first news update,
the Ukrainian army is continuing to advance in this area,
while the Russian army is retreating.
In an article in which the Washington Post interviewed Russians in the town of Sudzha,
it was reported that there was no sign of the Ukrainian army looting or attacking civilians in the occupied territory,
and one resident said,
gWe never imagined that war would come to our town,
but we are being treated well.h...
In the direction of Guryevo
The Russian army has been surrounded by the Seim River,
the Ukrainian border and the eastern Ukrainian occupied territories.
As we reported in yesterday's video,
one of the three bridges linking Russia has completely collapsed,
another has a large hole in it,
and the third has been damaged,
so in any case,
large trucks and armored vehicles cannot pass through,
and the supply route has been cut off.
Ukrainian military commentator Peknio told the Ukrainian media that gthere is a possibility that 700 to 800 Russian paratroopers will be surrounded in this areah.
Radio Liberty also reported that,
based on an analysis of satellite images,
the Russian military had built a second pontoon bridge.
The location is halfway between Svaneti,
where the second bridge was built,
and Gurjivo,
where the first bridge was built.
On the battle map,
there is information that the Ukrainian military are carrying out air strikes with JDAM ERs on the Russian military gathering point in Tetkino at the western end,
and are checking their movements.
Korenevo area
The Ukrainian army is continuing to advance in this area.
1st
As we reported in yesterday's video,
the Ukrainian army took control of Snagost.
According to the video with location information,
the Ukrainian army advanced further west from there and took control of the village of Vyshnevka and the railway station to the west of it.
What you are seeing is the location on the map where houses are burning and the Ukrainian troops operating to the right of that.
The Russian MoD has also confirmed the attack,
and has updated the battle map to show that the Ukrainian troops have occupied this disputed area.
Second
According to the video with location information,
the Russian military are attacking the location of the reservoir with artillery or air strikes,
and there is information that Ukrainian military vehicles have been destroyed,
so it is clear that this location is the front line.
The video you are watching was filmed by the Russian side,
and shows them observing the pond.
There have been no changes to the battle map.
There has been no further information about the Ukrainian army attacking and capturing the town of Korenevo from the north and south,
so we have updated the battle map to show the disputed area from the Ukrainian army's occupied territory.
As the operation is thought to be continuing,
we will inform you of any new developments as they occur.
In addition,
there were no changes to the battle maps for other areas around Kursk and Kharkiv,
such as Sudzha and Pripov.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
East: ChasivYar
We will report on the situation in the ChasivYar area from Kupyansk.
In this area,
the Russian army launched 20 attacks in the Kopyansk area,
20 attacks on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
2 attacks in the vicinity of Sibirsk,
14 attacks in the vicinity of ChasivYar,
and 24 attacks in the direction of Tretsk...
Svatove-Kreminna line
In Andryivka,
west of Svatove,
according to the video with location information,
Russian troops advanced on foot and were spotted by a Ukrainian military drone as they emerged from the forest and were repelled.
The images you are looking at are from the Crazy Cats drone unit,
which is part of the Ukrainian Army's 3rd Tank Brigade,
and they show the Russian soldiers running through the fields at the location shown on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show that the disputed area has expanded to that location...
ChasivYar area
Recently,
in this area,
the Ukrainian army has taken the initiative in the attacks.
In Novi,
which is a forward base for ChasivYar,
according to the video with location information,
the Ukrainian army counterattacked and was repelled by the Russian army.
The video you are watching is from the Russian side,
and shows the M113s and BMP infantry fighting vehicles that were abandoned and destroyed at the location shown on the map,
as they advanced to the east side of the canal.
There have been no changes to the battle map...
Tretsk area
In this area,
the Russian army is advancing while sustaining losses.
Currently,
the Russian army is conducting attacks in the Artemove and Nyu-York areas in order to encircle the west side of Tretsk.
First
The Russian MoD claimed to have captured Zaryzhne,
which is called the Artemove area.
The Russian army is continuing to advance towards the town of Nelipivka in the west,
but here there is a straight road on flat ground,
and the Ukrainian army is using drones to block their advance.
Second
Meanwhile,
in New York,
we reported in yesterday's video that the Russian army was attempting to surround the factory to the north of the station.
According to unconfirmed information,
the Ukrainian army has already withdrawn,
and the Russian army has occupied the area in the meantime.
Assuming that the Russian army has occupied the disputed area,
New York has updated its battle map to show the occupation with a red mark.
In about 45 days since the attack began in early July,
New York has been almost completely occupied,
with the exception of some city blocks.
If you draw a little map,
it seems that the Russian army will advance along the railway line and aim to occupy Konstantinovka,
which is 20 kilometers away,
but the city area continues along the railway line,
so it seems that the road ahead is long.
South-East Donetsk Oblast
We will report on the situation in the Pokrovsk,
Kravkov and Blemivka areas.
In this area,
the Russian army launched 45 attacks in the Pokrovsk area,
1 in the Kravkov area and 4 in the Blemivka area...
Pokrovsk area
In this area,
the Russian army has narrowed down the axis of its attack and sent in large numbers of soldiers to launch a frontal assault,
and the Ukrainian army is gradually retreating.
Regarding the situation in this area,
an officer from the Ukrainian army's 59th Mechanized Brigade,
Tsehotsky,
said,
gThe enemy is advancing towards Novofrogivka on the western front.
In addition,
to the south in Mykolayivka,
they are attempting to break through to the highway.
However,
we are maintaining our defensive line and the enemy has not broken through.
The enemy is approaching Pokrovsk,
and we are abandoning small settlements,
but the soldiers are evacuating before there is any danger.
The main objective is to win the war,
and even if we advance 100 meters in this area,
it is clear that Russia has already lost,h he explained.
He also said,
eWe are considering all scenarios and doing our best.
This is the most dangerous area,
and the Russian army will be caught off guard.f.
First
The Russian army advanced in the suburbs from Froshivka to Krasny Yar on the northwest front,
advancing about the distance of a field.
In addition,
the battle map was updated to show that Zhuravka had been captured by the Russian army.
The area is about 4 square kilometers.
Second
The Russian army,
which has occupied Mykolayivka,
is attacking in the direction of the gas station to the southwest in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian army's defensive line,
but has not been able to advance from the defensive line.
On the battle map,
the Russian army's occupied territory has been revised along the defensive line.
Third
If we combine multiple unconfirmed pieces of information,
it appears that the Russian army has occupied Mezove and Sukhine,
and it is also possible that the Russian army has occupied Yasnobrodivka.
On the battle map,
Mezove and Sukhine are changed to red marks indicating occupation,
and Yasnobrodivka is left as it is.
There is no information about whether or not there are Ukrainian troops in Yasnobrodivka,
or whether or not they have withdrawn,
so it is unknown.
The area occupied by the Russian army is about 9 square kilometers.
Southern Zaporizhzhya Oblast
Southern province of Kherson
The Russian army launched eight attacks in this area,
but each was repelled by the Ukrainian army,
and there was no information that affected the battle map...
That's all for today.
