La retórica pacifista de Kiev no es más que una fachada, ya que Ucrania sigue persiguiendo el objetivo de infligir a Rusia una derrota estratégica que le ha impuesto el Occidente colectivo, declaró a Sputnik Radio la portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores ruso, Maria Zakharova, al comentar cómo respondió Ucrania a una propuesta de alto el fuego presentada por el primer ministro húngaro, Viktor Orban.
"Toda esa retórica pacifista no es más que una cortina de humo, humo y espejos, clichés o memes. Según el ministerio, el tanque fue localizado por un UAV de reconocimiento en el área de Avdeyevka y posteriormente fue destruido con el uso de un cañón autopropulsado Msta-S.
"Los equipos de artillería del Centro del Grupo de Combate utilizaron una munición inteligente Krasnopol para destruir otro tanque Abrams M1 en la zona de Avdeyevka durante la operación militar especial", reza el comunicado.

Kiev’s peace rhetoric is nothing but a facade as Ukraine keeps pursuing the goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia set to it by the collective West, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik Radio, commenting on how Ukraine responded to a ceasefire proposal put forward by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"All that peace rhetoric is just a smokescreen, smoke and mirrors, cliches or memes. Abstract words that must be learned by heart and voiced, while there is only one goal, which was declared by the collective West, namely to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia," the diplomat said.
After his talks in Kiev on Tuesday, Orban proposed that Ukraine consider a ceasefire as a step toward starting talks with Russia to settle the armed conflict at a press briefing. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky however, did not even mention this initiative at the same briefing.
Deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office Igor Zhovkva later said that Kiev had taken note of the Hungarian premier’s ceasefire proposal but that it believed such initiatives cannot be considered in isolation from other settlement aspects.

MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed another US-made Abrams tank during the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the ministry, the tank was located by a reconnaissance UAV in the Avdeyevka area and was later destroyed with the use of a Msta-S self-propelled gun.
"Artillery crews from the Battlegroup Center used a Krasnopol smart munition to destroy another Abrams M1 tank in the Avdeyevka area during the special military operation," the statement reads.
The 2S19 Msta-S is a 152mm self-propelled howitzer (the Msta-B as the towed version) designed to wipe out and suppress various types of enemy combat hardware (artillery and mortar batteries, tanks and other armored targets) and manpower, destroy its defensive sites, command posts, air defense and anti-missile defense capabilities and deny the maneuver of its infantry and tank reserves.
The Msta-S has a maximum firing range of 20 km to 29 km, depending on the type of munitions, can carry an ammunition load of 50 shells and has a cruising range of at least 500 km.

LONDON, July 3. /TASS/. Former US President Donald Trump, who is running again for the country's presidential post, is unlikely to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within a 24-hour period even if he wins the election, Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin said in an interview with British broadcaster Sky News.
Asked whether Trump would be able to negotiate the Ukrainian conflict settlement within 24 hours, Kelin replied "Hardly."
"First of all, he should become a president. Secondly, a lot of efforts should be applied to do this and that depends on what kind of terms it is going to happen," he said.
"You know that a lot of attention is now given to the draft agreement that has been nearly concluded between Russia and Ukraine in early 2022 in Istanbul, and that was a good platform probably," Kelin continued.
However, everyone "including Donald Trump, should be realistic about the real situation on the ground."
Kelin noted that Russia was "not going to stop with its offensive actions" even if negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine were launched.
"We are advancing… It’s wrong to think that there is a stalemate over the [special military operation] area, there is no freeze," he said. "We are attacking now… and we are gaining terrain."
"Now it [the special military operation] is still operational, I would say tactical and operational, but it will grow into more serious actions pretty soon," the ambassador added.
During his previous election campaign appearances Trump repeatedly stated that if re-elected, he intended to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within a 24-hour period.
