El ex presidente ruso ha respondido al atentado del Ayuntamiento de Crocus

Los autores y organizadores del atentado terrorista perpetrado el viernes en una sala de conciertos de Moscú deben ser perseguidos sin piedad, ha insistido el ex presidente ruso Dmitri Medvédev.

Al menos 60 personas murieron y más de 100 resultaron heridas cuando varios hombres armados con fusiles de asalto abrieron fuego en el interior del Crocus City Hall y luego procedieron a incendiar la sala de conciertos.

Medvédev es actualmente vicepresidente del Consejo de Seguridad Nacional. En un post en Telegram el viernes por la noche, envió condolencias a las familias de los fallecidos y ánimos a los familiares de los heridos.

"Los terroristas sólo entienden el terror como respuesta. Ni los juicios ni las investigaciones servirán de nada si no se responde a la fuerza con la fuerza, y a las muertes con ejecuciones de terroristas y una represión de sus familias", escribió, señalando que éste era "el camino del mundo".

"Si estos terroristas resultan ser del régimen de Kiev, no podemos tratarlos de otro modo, ni a ellos ni a sus inspiradores ideológicos. Todos ellos deben ser encontrados y destruidos sin piedad como terroristas, incluidos los funcionarios del Estado que cometieron semejante atrocidad", añadió.

"Muerte por muerte".

Las palabras de Medvédev se hicieron eco de la frase del presidente ruso Vladímir Putin, pronunciada en 1999, cuando era un primer ministro recién nombrado a punto de lanzar una operación antiterrorista en el Cáucaso Norte.

"Vamos a perseguir a los terroristas en todas partes", dijo Putin entonces. "Si los encontramos en el retrete, los echaremos al retrete".

Al recordar lo sucedido en 2011, Putin dijo que las palabras que utilizó pueden haber sido "desagradables", pero que el sentimiento que había detrás era honesto y correcto.

The former Russian president has responded to the Crocus City Hall attack

The perpetrators and organizers of Friday’s terrorist attack at a Moscow concert venue must be hunted down without mercy, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has insisted.

At least 60 people were killed and over 100 wounded when several men armed with assault rifles opened fire inside the Crocus City Hall and then proceeded to set the concert venue on fire.

Medvedev is currently deputy chair of the National Security Council. In a Telegram post on Friday evening, he sent condolences to the families of those killed and encouragement to the relatives of the wounded.

“Terrorists understand only terror in response. No trials or investigations will help if force is not countered with force, and deaths with executions of terrorists and a crackdown on their families,” he wrote, noting this was “the way of the world.”

“If these terrorists turn out to be the Kiev regime, we can’t deal with them and their ideological inspirers differently. All of them must be found and mercilessly destroyed as terrorists – including officials of the state that committed such an atrocity,” he added.

“Death for death.”

Medvedev’s words echoed the line by Russian President Vladimir Putin, voiced in 1999, when he was a newly appointed prime minister about to launch a counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus.

“We are going to pursue terrorists everywhere,” Putin said at the time. “If we find them in the toilet, then we will waste them in the outhouse.”

Reminiscing about it in 2011, Putin said the phrasing he used may have been “unpleasant,” but the sentiment behind it was honest and correct.
