Nowadays, most countries have compulsory retirement system. Some insist that the system is necessary because it enables company to recruit new employees regularly. However, I believe that we should abolish the system for the following reasons.

Firstly, many elderly people have the ability to work and contribute to the economy even after they reach their sixties. For example, most of the executives in my current company are over sixty years old and they manage to run the company very well. Therefore, the knowledge and skills they have are necessary to maintain the business performance.

Secondly, it is important to encourage elderly people to keep working if they have the motivations. One of the reasons for this is the amount of pension they get has been decreasing yearly and it is not enough for them to live. Thus, we need to provide them with the opportunity to keep earning money as long as they are willing to.

Finally, elderly people can have positive impacts on younger generations. For instance, younger employees can learn how to work effectively by seeing the elderly people with a lot of experience. Hence, if compulsory retirement is abolished and the elderly people can keep on working, it gives advantage to not only the elderly but also to the young.

In conclusion, we should abolish compulsory retirement as soon as possible. The elderly people can contribute to the organizations they belong to, can earn to pay their living expenses, and can educate younger people how to work well by showing their skills and knowledge.

Nowadays, most countries have compulsory retirement system. Some insist that the system should be abolished because many elderly people can work even after they reach their sixties and keep supporting their company. However, I believe that we should sustain the system for the following reasons.

Firstly, elderly people cannot work as actively as young people, so we should dismiss the elderly employees and hire younger ones instead. For example, it is difficult for elderly people to work for long hours and companies need to hire more staff to manage their businesses. Therefore, it would be better if we can hire more young people to work full-time.

Secondly, companies can make their recruitment plans easier if their employees resign at a specific timing. To illustrate, if you know ten employees would retire this year, you can just hire ten new employees by the end of the year to maintain the number of workers. Thus, compulsory retirement allows managers of organizations to make recruitment efficiently.

Finally, we can say that elderly people have negative impacts on younger generations. For instance, the elderly tend to stick to their accustomed method based on their experience. This will hinder them from being flexible, which would lead to a collision between the elderly and the young. Hence, we should not do away with compulsory retirement and stimulate young people’s growth.

In conclusion, we should not repeal compulsory retirement. To summarize, my three reasons were as follows; the elderly people cannot work as effectively compared to the young, human resource divisions can plan out their recruitment systematically, and young people can work more comfortably without feeling stressed.
