The speaker's name is Nozomi Oka. Now she is B Corp Consultant for current. The one act of what she doing is B Corp certification. Her idea is that both the company and customers should participate in environmental protection. She had job experience in the B Corp Consultant. So, the lecture's main topic also was B Corp. When she was child, she was playing the violin. There are so many of the choices we make in our lives, maybe they're right, maybe they're bad. But when we choose, we don't know what the consequences will be. At the same time, our choices may bring harm to others and harm to the environment we depend on to survive. However, when we know we're on the wrong track, we need to cut our losses and get back on track.For example, the garbage produced makes it untreatable and pollutes the environment, which does great harm to our living environment. But we can use the same energy and materials to make the right and beneficial choices. We can change it to positive side. That's what B Corp is about. The speaker hopes all of Japanese companies to be like B Corp. Companies use their business power to make world better, not be a bad way. A company can be certified by B Corp only when it has a good influence on society and the environment. This is a testament to the importance of social enterprise to the world today. Making the goods companies make sustainable is the key. Reduce unnecessary garbage and promote environmental protection. Of course, not only for society, but also for the internal welfare of the company and the environment. The speaker has been focusing on a difficult question. It is sustainability issues. Many companies may claim that their products are the most sustainable, but when the price is compared to the product, whether they are telling the truth, or how we choose. It's a very difficult choice. Through this class, I realized the definition of B Corp. It's the first time I've heard it. At the same time, I also believe that the definition of B Corp is of great benefit not only to the environment we live in, but also to our treatment after entering the company. In the future, when I choose a company for internship or work, I will first check whether the company has the logo of B Corp.
