His roommate's sleep, an epic

After a night deprived of sleep, i went to the Yoshida Hill, there

Midway upon the journey of my life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost.

The Divine Comedy, Dante Aligieri, trans. Henry W. Longfellow

as i was to make meditation from my current troubles, i found a cave and went inside. However, when i was concerning in sweet philosophical doctrains, suddenly someone snatched me by hair. i got scared and look upon, there was a elegant lady, i daresay, god-like, appearing before me. She said:
"Don't be afraid! I'm Calliope, daughter of Zeus. you're such a stupid that you're totally ignorant why your roommate set an terrible-sounded alarm at 5 am and made it ring for hours while he himself keeps sleeping. I will then tell you an epic, which is to be remembered by all pious people as the sacred knowledge of the issues of gods."
"but i'm illiterate," i said, "how am i supposed to pass it to others?"
"listen!" the goddess said, "i'll insert the ability of letters into your mind, you need only to remember what i will tell you, then put it down with your own tongue."
And this is what i, now as philosopher, poet and prophet, received from the goddess:

SING, Goddess, of my roommate's bronze sleep,
Whose fair appearance Diana persuaded,
Men-hater, astonishing at the dark-haired lad,
Decided to take another Endymion to her tender couch.
Yet not the time Eos ties rosy horses to her chariot,
The maiden's plot all-seeing father Jove doth perceived,
To his own mind winged words thence he utterest:
'Alas is me, being addressed father and king,
Free from children's blame and intrigues when!
For new-made immortals heaven citizens upset,
Against me crafty speeches Iapetionides' made.
Should've this licentiousness with Latona's maiden permitted
For mindless love's sake, soon at Saturn's statue I'd be murdered!'
Having these said, glorious Jove famous weapons summoned:
Again from snow-covered Olympus thunder-bolts sound around.
With storming blaze all forests of Ida being concealed,
Against starry aether oceans in panic upwards dashed;
Proteus the most witty creature, as suppliant to Lutheran church fled.
Noisy Bellona wonders when Juno another monster begot;
Ambitious Tartarus residents rejoice whether a coming revolt.
When groans amd fear drove Pleiades out of their course,
Who hiding in veil duty deserted, my roommate sleeps still.
On Dryades and Nymphes' behave finally aged Pan came pleading,
Lest nowhere from slaughter of divine race stainless could be.
'Tis why Christ's help Jove sought, with all his efforts in vain.
Sole he will wake my roommate, trice-blessed lad up,
Merciful Lord Jesus, to him all praises belong indeed.
By Styx Lord swore when he would return to this world,
Far-famed land of Kyoto he would visit, AMEN!
