2024.3-4月HIKEYO
２月のHIKEYOは、予定を変更して伊豆半島の大室山で相模湾、相模灘を臨み黙祷を捧げて参りました。
相模湾は、真鶴半島から三崎を結んだ北側の神奈川県に囲われた海です。
相模灘は、伊豆半島から房総半島を結んだ海域です。1991年に「葬送の自由をすすめる会」がこれまでの通念上行ってはいけないと解釈されていた海洋散骨を敢行した海域でもあります。
※以来、各省庁が海洋散骨を追認している歴史があります。
伊豆半島は、500万年〜300万年前にかけて形成されたと言われています。
その際に押し上げられ山が、神奈川県の丹沢山系です。
丹沢山系の麓では、アンモナイトや珊瑚の化石が発見されています。元々は海中にあったのです。
私たちは、海洋散骨を自然とのつながりと捉えています。
散骨したお骨が海に溶けだし、海流に乗って2000年をかけて世界を循環する。
沈殿したお骨は、砂や岩となり、いつか山や島となって
また、海に戻るのだろうと推測しています。

For February's HIKEYO, we changed our schedule and held a moment of silence at Mt. Omuro on the Izu Peninsula, overlooking Sagami Bay and the Sagami Sea.
Sagami Bay is a sea surrounded by Kanagawa Prefecture on the north side, connecting Misaki from Manazuru Peninsula.
The Sagami Sea is a sea area that connects the Izu Peninsula and the Boso Peninsula. This is also the area where in 1991, the Society for the Promotion of Freedom of Funerals carried out scattering of ashes at sea, which was previously considered to be prohibited.
*Since then, there is a history in which various ministries and agencies have confirmed the scattering of ashes at sea.
The Izu Peninsula is said to have been formed between 5 and 3 million years ago.
The mountain that was pushed up at that time is the Tanzawa Mountain Range in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Ammonite and coral fossils have been discovered at the foot of the Tanzawa Mountains. It was originally under the sea.
We view scattering of ashes in the ocean as a connection with nature.
Scattered bones begin to dissolve into the ocean and circulate around the world on ocean currents for 2,000 years.
The precipitated bones turn into sand and rocks, and someday become mountains and islands.
I'm also guessing that it will return to the sea.
The next hike is scheduled for Mt. Hayama Sengen.
