One reason makes the opinion unacceptable.

二酸化炭素の大量排出は環境を悪化させる。気候変動に拍車をかけるからだ。そして地球温暖化現象は自然災害を引き起こし、食糧危機などの諸問題の原因となっている。
Too many carbon dioxide emissions have made negative contributions to our environment because they affect serious climate change negatively, which could results in various kinds of natural disasters, which might leads to numerous issues like food crisis or economic failures.

この問題を解決するために、二酸化炭素の排出を減らす方法が模索されてきている。しかし減らすだけが解決策ではない。それを有効利用すれば良いという考えもあるのだ。
In order to overcome this critical situation, many experts have struggled to find effective approaches where we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide.
But decreasing it isn’t the only means to tackle such a crucial problem because there is another solution where we can make use of it in an acceptable measure.

二酸化炭素から炭素を取り出して、それで新種のプラスティックを作るというものだ。それは捨てる時に簡単に分解される。そして自然に環境の中に消えていく。
One practical instance is that we can produce a new sort of plastic when we pick up only carbon from carbon dioxide, the advantage of which is that this plastic could break up easily when it is thrown away, and it melts into nature without damaging the earth.

別のメリットとしては、製造コストが高くないということだ。従来のプラスティックは化石燃料から作られる。環境に優しくコストが安い。これほどのメリットはない。
Another advantage is that we can produce this kind of plastic without wasting extra money, which helps us in a financial viewpoint.
Fossil fuels are burned a lot when we make traditional kind of plastic, which has negative influences on our precious environment, in contrast, producing a new kind of plastic enables us to be eco-friendly citizens and save extra expenses.

まだまだメリットはある。二酸化炭素から取り出された炭素は、別の物質と組み合わせると強度の高い石になる。そしてそれは建造物や道路の建設に使用されている。
We have another benefit : we can produce a new kind of stone with intensity when we could combine carbon from carbon dioxide with other substances, which we can use to construct a building, a bridge, a road and so on.

二酸化炭素の排出を削減することは、環境を考えた時に重要なことである。しかし有効利用する方法があるなら、それも環境保護的な観点から言って大正解だ。
It is true that reducing carbon dioxide emissions makes a difference when we think that our environment is what does matter the most in order to lead a meaningful life on this planet.
But we should prioritize an approach to make the best of carbon, otherwise it is only a nuisance, which might be a triumph in an environmental viewpoint.

This reason makes the question titled above unfavorable.
