In the end, technology is only a symptomatic treatment①

Hello everyone.

Sai & Co. This is Sai & Co. from WAKU Chale Lab.

Today, I would like to talk about ``Technology is ultimately only a symptomatic treatment①.''

But before that, please.

If you thought today's story was good, please share it with your friends 😁

Now on to the main topic.

Well, everyone.

How many technologies are you currently utilizing?

Having said that, wouldn't it be a problem if someone suddenly and loosely referred to it as technology?

I'm afraid this will lead to a debate over how far you're talking, so I'll refrain from digging deeper.

Well, for now, let's just say it's a mechanical thing.

Does anyone know how many mechanical things you all use right now?

Have you used it so much that you don't know why?

Well, don't worry, I'm with you too.

I feel like they're going to say, "Then don't ask," but you've already used it so much that it's a pain to keep counting each time, right?

For example, a typical example is a smartphone.

Will this come up first?

After all, the smartphone penetration rate in Japan seems to be over 90%.

After all, it's convenient, because you can replace it with a single unit for many things.

I sometimes think, ``I wish it could become part of the infrastructure soon.''

Just like water, electricity, gas, and radio waves.

But really, this smartphone is a useful thing, it can be used as a wallet, a game console, a navigation system, a calculator, a ticket, etc. The list is endless. is not it.

Other than that, cars are common when you go to rural areas, as well as TV and washing machines, which young people don't watch much these days.

All of these things didn't exist in the past.

Each piece was done by hand.

However, after a certain point, various experts developed something useful that could save time, and it became known and spread around the world, and eventually everyone started using it and gained citizenship.

Following this trend, we now live in an era where we can use convenient things for granted.

Therefore, it is not wrong to call it alternative therapy or complementary therapy.

I won't deny it.

However, since this is just a normal story, I would like to talk about it in a little more depth.

As per today's theme, this is the word ``symptomatic treatment.''

This is a term mainly used in the medical industry.

As the name suggests, symptomatic treatment means treatment for symptoms.

In other words, once a certain symptom has appeared, the treatment is to counteract that symptom, or to eliminate or alleviate only the symptom.

That is to say, the symptoms disappear or fade, so some people mistakenly think that they are temporarily better, or that they are cured because the symptoms are gone, but in the first place, the underlying cause of the problem is Since the cause has not been cured, the same symptoms will occur again...

So, I'm halfway through the blog, but if I keep talking about it like this, it's going to become a bit long, so I'll end it here.

So, the continuation of this will be uploaded tomorrow at the same time, so please come and visit us again.

So what do you think?

The story so far.

Usually, like today, I write a blog about things that come to mind at the time, such as miscellaneous notes and subjective things, and break them down into easy-to-understand things using psychology, brain science, and personality analysis.
