Motivation is born by making people aware of value.

hello everyone.

Sai & Co. This is Sai & Co. from WAKU Challenge Lab.

Well, today, I will explain about "Motivation is born by making people aware of value".

If you enjoyed today's story, please share it with us😁

Now let's get down to business.

Previously, I touched on the effective use of rewards in “Rewards work effectively if you set them yourself” (see blog on October 26, 2021), but this time I would like you to dig deeper. I received a comment, so I will explain it.

How about everyone?

It's been a few days since then, are you making the most of your rewards?

If you say "I'm done", please use it as it is. If you haven't tried it yet, please give it a try.

So, I'm sure that some of the people who have tried it once have felt the effects and continued to use it. I think it's the content that resonates the most with those who say.

So, if you are having trouble with that, please read on.

Let me start with the premise.

Humans are creatures of habit.

This is the premise.

So, even if the reward is effective at first, you will definitely get used to it at some point.

In other words, it becomes commonplace to do so.

After that, the effect is no longer expected.

One chance, if you raise the hurdle of the reward, the effect may last even temporarily, but if you do so, the person giving the reward will give up.

If you ask for something expensive, or if it's a rare item, or if it's not a real thing, there's nothing we can do about it.

So what do you do when that happens? That said, consider the following.

The trick is to make people conscious of value.

So what is value? That's what I mean, but value is a successful experience.

In fact, this successful experience is an important keyword to keep the motivation of the people who need the next move.

Now let me ask you a question.

How many successful experiences have you had?

Try to remember as much as you can.

How many were there?

Three? Five? Some may have more than 10.

Now let me ask you more deeply.

What impact has that experience had on you?

Perhaps, but does it give you confidence, courage, and pride?

For example, when you spend money for the first time to buy something.

Didn't you honestly feel happy when you were able to successfully withdraw the amount that the clerk told you to take out of your wallet, exchange it for a product, and make a successful purchase?

I think I was nervous at first.

"What should I do if I don't have enough money?", "What should I do if the store clerk says I won't sell this?", "What should I do if I do something strange and get angry?" , The first time is almost heart-pounding.

However, the fact that I can now shop without worrying about such worries means that I have acquired the successful experience of that time.

If I had been discouraged because I couldn't go shopping at that time, I would have hated shopping now and would still be unable to do it on my own.

In other words, in this case, "becoming able to shop alone" is the value for me.

In reality, it is rare to set a reward for shopping alone, but if you set a reward, you will be able to shop well by receiving a reward, and the experience will be even better. I'm going to stack up more shopping. Each time, the reward escalates, and as soon as you can't answer the request, you may stop shopping yourself.

These theories work elsewhere.

So, before the reward escalates or gets tired of the reward setting, it is important to make them deeply aware of the successful experience of "I was able to do the shopping by myself."

This is what we call “value awareness”.

As long as you can be conscious of it, you will be able to do it voluntarily, so you will be motivated and you will be able to withdraw.

So, if you enjoyed today's story, please introduce it to your friends😁

See you soon ✌️
