Afrel ReBorn Project 進行中に、還暦です。
会社で花束いただきました。サンキュ－。
60年前に未熟児で生まれまして、10人生んだうちのばあさんが生まれたばかりのオレを見て「こんな小さい赤ん坊は見たことない、大丈夫なんか」とお医者に聞いたと、十人姉妹九女の母親が言っておりました。
おかげさまにて、やれております。ありがとうございます。
じじいになったと思っていますが、先日、浜松の先輩に「オレは59から社長やって70までやった、小林さんこれからだな」と叱咤され、地元の40代の経営者達からは「もっとオモシロイことやるんでしょ」とケツを叩かれ、金融機関からは「まだまだ働いてください」と狙われているこの頃です。

55才の頃に「もう人の世話するのはやめて好きに勝手に生きよう」と決めたんですが、その後も変わらずロボコンだとか経営だとかあれこれうまくいかないのをナントカするとか、人の世話が続いていて断念しています。
同じ頃に「仕事を引退したら撮ったまま整理されてない子供らのサッカー、運動会や発表会いろいろの写真、フィルムを整理して、釣りをして過ごそう」と思っていましたが、それも実行されることはなさそうです。

ある時のテレビにて野口五郎さんが出演されており、五郎さんはライブを持ち帰るというサービス含めいくつか特許を開発し今もビジネスでご活躍されていることは存じ上げていたのですが、番組内で五郎さんが「やりたいことはいっぱいある、いっぱいあるまま、ある時バタっと倒れたい」ということをおっしゃっていました。これは目からウロコでした。ああ、そうかと、自分自身もやりたいことはいっぱいあるんだから、やればいいんだ、それで死んでいけばいいんだと目が覚めました。

知り合いの小児科のお医者さんが65で病院を退職されたんですね、お医者になったお子さんはなくつまり跡継ぎはいらっしゃらないこともあり、退職後悠々と過ごすのかなぁと思っていたら、個人医院を開業されまして、ちょっと驚いたんです。しかし考えてみれば、そのお医者さんは難しい状況のお子さんを診る方で、ご自身がやらねばならないことがまだあると思われたことは想像できます。今も前のめりで日々医療に取り組んでいらっしゃることには敬意しかありません。

郷土の科学者・竹内均先生（東京大学名誉教授・地球物理学者）は、退官後に雑誌ニュートンを創刊され、次世代へ科学のおもしろさを伝え続けました。「私は取り柄がないものですから、毎朝4時に起きて勉強することだけは中学から続けています」とおっしゃる巨人で、竹内先生の晩年の言葉に「錆び付かず、擦り切れるまでやる」というのを拝見したことがあります。
ああ、これだと感じました。

諸先輩方にはまだまだ遠く及びませんが、やりたいこと、やるべきことを、バックミラーを見ることなくやっていこうと思います。
オモシロク変えていくには「若者、よそ者、バカ者」が必要と言われます。私はもう若者、よそ者ではありませんが「バカ者」であることは一生やれる。
若者、よそ者の、ジャマをせず活躍の場をつくり支援を続ける。
錆び付かず、擦り切れるまで。

My 60th birthday is underway at Afrel (my company) ReBorn Project.
I received a bouquet of rose flowers at the company. Thank you very much.
I was born prematurely 60 years ago, and my grandmother, who gave birth to 10 children, when she saw me as a newborn, she asked the doctor, "I've never seen such a small baby. Is he gonna be okay? ”　it was the memory of my mother who is 9th of 10 sisters.

Thanks to you for all, I'm doing well.
I feel like an old man, but the other day, one of my seniors in Hamamatsu city strong encouragement me, saying, "I have been president since I was 59 years old and until 70, so it's just the beginning for you, Mr. KOBAYASHI."

When I was 55 years old, I decided to "stop taking care of others and live as I please," but I have given up since then because I still have to take care of others, whether it be through robot contests, management, and many don't work.
Around the same time, I thought, "When I retire from work, I will organize the photos and films of my children had played football games, athletic meets, and recitals that I have not yet organized, and spend my time fishing," but it seems that this will never happen.

I saw NOGUCHI Goro on the TV program who is an old singer. I knew he had developed several patents, including one for a service that allows people to take home live performances, and that he is still active in the business. He said, "I have a lot of things I want to do until when I drop." This was an eye-opener for me. I thought to myself, "Oh, yes, I have a lot of things I want to do, so I should just do them until I will die."

A pediatrician whom I knew, retired from the hospital at 65 years old. He had no children who became doctors, which meant he had no successor. although I thought he was going to spend his retirement in comfort. However, he opened his medical office, I was a little surprised. when I thought, he is a pediatrician who treated children in difficult situations, and I can imagine that he thought there were still things he had to do. I respect that he is still working daily on medical treatment

Dr. TAKEUCHI Hitoshi, a geophysicist and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo, founded the magazine Newton after retiring from the university and continued to convey the fun of science to the next generation. He said, "I don't have a strong point, so the only thing I have done since junior high school is to get up at 4:00 a.m. every morning to study." as a great man, his word in his later life "without rust until wearing off"
I felt this is it.

Although I am still far behind my seniors, I will continue to do what I want to do and what I should do without looking in the rearview mirror.
It is said that "young guys, stranger, and idiots who is out of the box" are needed to make changes. I am no longer a young guy and a stranger, but I can be an "idiot who is out of the box" for the rest of my life.
I will continue to support young people and strangers by creating a place for them to play an active role without getting in their way.
