UAEでは英語を話さなくても生活できる(NC)

Second most spoken language in UAE is Urdo

90% of the people in Dubai are immigrants or tourists. Shop keepers in Bacora, local grocery store, police officer and taxi drivers can speak English, so we don't need to speak English to live in Dubai.

The most spoken language in UAE is English, and second most spoken language is Urdo, which is predominantly spoken in Pakistan and India. English is a school language in India, but before going to school and local language is "Urdo". Urdo is the mixture of Arabic, Persian, English and Pashtun

In Arabic countries, things are expensive if we don't speak Arabic.

When a person go to ZARA, the price is not written on the label, and the shop keeper give he or she a higher price if he or she speak English as they think that he or she is a tourist. If the person speaks Urdo, they give he or she the cheapest price. This is true also in Turkey. If we go to Turkey and we don't speak Turkish, they tell higher price. This is still the case.

In Middle East, everything is cheeper. A person can eat lunch by $1 in Afghanistan. If the person is local, then the food is $1, but if the person is a tourist, the food is $6. This is because it is nothing to the tourist. For example, that person pay $10 for lunch in Tokyo, so $6 is not bad.

My Thoughts

I was surprised to hear that we can live in Dubai even if we can not speak English and the second most spoken language is Urdo which is from Pakistan and India. I was thinking that not so many people in Pakistan live in other country, but I knew that Urdo is so dominant in UAE.
I wonder if UAE is safe or not because there are so many people from all over the world not only from the West, but from Middle East.
