一般社団法人The Red Dot Schoolと三原市が連携協定を結びました / The Red Dot School and Mihara City have signed a partnership agreement.

 2024年2月27日、一般社団法人The Red Dot Schoolと三原市は、連携協定を結びました。協定は、佐木島での建築教育、空き家の解体とアップサイクル、島の小学校との交流の上で、包括的に連携していこうというものです。協定内容は以下の項目などです。
On February 27, 2024, The Red Dot School, and the City of Mihara signed a collaboration agreement. The agreement is for a comprehensive collaboration on architectural education on Sagishiima, deconstruction and upcycling of vacant houses, and interaction with the island's elementary school.The details of the agreement are as follows.

(1)建築学生教育プログラム等の開催に関すること。
(2)建築、解体及びアップサイクルの研究及び教育に関すること。
(3)鷺浦小学校や地域との交流に関すること。　等
(1) Cooperation in organizing architectural student education programs.
(2) Research and education on construction, demolition and upcycling.
(3) Interaction with Saginoura Elementary School and the local community.

調印式には、代表理事である河野直・ブライアン、理事である河本吉重が参加し、岡田市長との意見交換などもさせていただきました。調印式の様子は、テレビ局・新聞社・ラジオ局によって報道されました。Nao and Bryan, representative directors, and Yoshishige Kawamoto, director, participated in the signing ceremony and exchanged opinions with Mayor Okada. The signing ceremony was reported by TV stations, newspapers, and radio stations.

私たちの佐木島での教育活動の始まりは、2018年に遡ります。日本建築設計学会主催のアジア建築ワークショップで、河野直・桃子がSagishima Dining Table というワークショップを企画・指導させていただき、島での活動がスタートしました。コロナで島での活動ができない期間もありましたが、2023年5月に一般社団法人The Red Dot Schoolを設立し、島での教育活動を再開しました。
Our educational activities on Sagishima began back in 2018. Our activities on the island began when we planned and led a workshop called Sagishima Dining Table at the Asian Architecture Workshop. After a period of corona, we established The Red Dot School in May 2023 and resumed our activities on the island.

建築教育は、島の未来に変化を生み出せるか。長く大きなチャレンジを、国内外の学生、三原市と連携しながら、続けて行きたいと思います。
Can architectural education create change in the future of the island? We would like to continue this long and significant challenge.
