広島大学との連携プロジェクト / Collaboration with Hiroshima University

佐木島における空き家の解体とアップサイクルに関する実践と研究を、広島大学角倉・石垣研究室との連携で取り組んでいます。当プロジェクトは、広島大学が主催する2023年広島県地域の元気応援プロジェクトに採択されています。連携プロジェクトの概要は以下の通りです。
We are working on the practice and research of demolition and upcycling of vacant houses on Sagishima in collaboration with the Sumikura+Ishigaki Laboratory of Hiroshima University. This project has been selected as  Bridging Community Development Project in 2023 sponsored by Hiroshima University. A summary of the collaborative projects is as follows

本プロジェクトでは、佐木島に存在する「解体を待つ木造空き家」を出発点にしたサーキュラーデザインの構想と社会実装を行います。広島大学建築学プログラム（角倉・石垣研究室）と協力しながら、人々の手によって空き家の解体する工法や、材を効率よく取り出す工法を探求します。解体によって、どんな質のどんな材料がどれくらいの数量がアップサイクル可能かを分析し、これらの材によってどんな空間資源生み出せるかを設計・構想します。当事業の中で、これらの一連の流れを、ワークショップを開催しながらモデルプロジェクトとして実施します。
This project will conceptualize and socially implement a circular design starting from a "vacant wooden house waiting for demolition" that exists on Sakishima. In cooperation with Hiroshima University's Architecture Program (Sumikura/Ishigaki Laboratory), we will explore construction methods to demolish vacant houses by people's hands and to efficiently extract materials. We will analyze what materials of what quality and in what quantity can be upcycled through demolition, and design and conceptualize what kind of spatial resources can be created with these materials. We will conduct a series of workshops and implement these processes as a model project within this project.

建築生産マネジメントを専門とする角倉准教授には、一般社団法人The Red Dot Schoolのアドバイザリーボードにも就任いただいており、連携体制を今後も継続して参ります。
Associate Professor Sumikura, who specializes in building production management, is also on the advisory board of The Red Dot School. We will continue our collaboration in both research and practice.
